As is always the case with the Globes, there’s plenty of head scratching to be had. But the only thing glaring out at me is that it would appear that Game of Thrones has been completely forgotten this year.

I’m shocked that many of the movies that were nominated just came out recently, and most of them I haven’t even heard of. I’m definitely going to take the time to watch all of them, and even though many of them are still in theaters, I’m able to add them to my Blockbuster @Home queue that I have set up through DISH. This way whenever they do make it to DVD, I’ll be one of the first to watch them, and I won’t have to keep track of release dates. Like you, my brother and many of the folks I work with at DISH were surprised to not find Game of Thrones nominated in any category, but I’m ecstatic to see that Jon Hamm was nominated for his role in Mad Men. I’ve been following that show for a while, so I’m happy to see him listed because he deserves to win.
