Super Bowl TV Spot For Zombie Epic ‘World War Z’
The first trailer for Marc Forster‘s adaptation of the Max Brooks book World War Z looked pretty promising…until the zombies showed up, that is. Ultra-fast, heavily CGI, and moving as one like a pack of insects or a hungry wave of water, these zombies simply looked unappealing.
Now comes a new look at the movie, a 30-second TV spot that will air this Sunday during the Super Bowl.
Will this second peek at World War Z make you more excited to see it or less? Only one way to find out! Proceed, and may you find the answers that you seek.

Hot on the heels of the release of the DC Animated feature The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 comes the trailer for the next in the line of DC/Warner Brothers Animated features. The next film is titled Superman: Unbound and is based on the 2008 Superman: Braniac arc written by Geoff Johns with art by Gary Frank that was published in Action Comics. The story features Superman fighting against Braniac with the future of the bottle city of Kandor and a few thousand Kryptonians hanging in the balance.
The feature brings us a new voice for Superman in the person of Matt Bomer (White Collar), with John Noble (Fringe, Lord of the Rings) as Braniac. This looks to be another great entry in DC/WB’s animated line, and it makes me wonder if they be adapting the rest of Johns’ Superman run at some point. Check out the trailer below.

Along with fellow childhood friends played by Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) as estate agent Oliver, Paddy Considine (Cinderella Man) as architectural consultant and former rocker Steven, and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes) as a car dealer named Peter, they will reunite and set off to accomplish something they had attempted two decades earlier.
Continue on below to read a synopsis and check out the two new images, including one that looks a little more fitting to the apocalyptic events many believe will take place in The World’s End.

Disney In Depth: Book Review: John Carter and The Gods Of Hollywood
|
“When I saw I you, I believed it was a sign, that something new can come into this world,” says Tars Tarkas, the giant green Thark, as voiced by soulful Willem Dafoe in the teaser trailer for John Carter. Sadly, when the feature film entered our world, or at least in our cinemas, its reputation had already been tarnished by a soaring budget, backstage turbulence, and muddled marketing. Not until the release of Michael D. Sellers‘ winning book, John Carter and The Gods of Hollywood, have we truly appreciated all of what truly unfolded behind the scenes, of what John Carter could have been.
Before I dive into the book, let me share with you my experience with the film. I followed John Carter‘s production process extensively years prior to its March 2012 opening, as I was just as excited as any other Andrew Stanton fan of this Academy Award-winner directing an adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel. Though I was not terribly familiar with the material, I felt enchanted by the riveting content. I was more than thrilled to be one of only thousands of individuals to see early scenes of John Carter at the Disney D23 Expo in August 2011. Some felt apathetic over the clips. Me, I was engaged every second. My fascination with this project led me to write many John Carter articles for Fused Film, the site I previously wrote for, and I have continued to throw in references to Carter in many of my Geeks of Doom pieces. I was on cloud nine when I saw that a book about this topic entered the market.
