Hello There! This is Adam Frazier and you are listening to Skull-Face Island, the official movie podcast of Geeks of Doom! As always I’m joined by My Little Pony Super-Fan and resident ‘Brony,” David Allen… and the Destro to my Cobra Commander, producer Tim Grant.
Today on the Show: We’ll discuss Andy Muschietti’’s’s latest film, Mama, and boot-up the Geek-O-Matic TeleFax for all the latest news on The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Star Wars: Episode VII, and Brad Bird‘s Tomorrowland.
We’ll also continue our four-part series of “BEST OF THE YEAR” lists with special guest Sean O’Connell of Fandango, Movies.Com, CinemaBlend, and The Washington Post. On this week’s installment we’ll cover the best films of 2012, No. 10 – No. 6. You’ll definitely want to tune in for the insanity that ensues.
If you’ve missed our previous transmissions, let me explain how this works. In the year 1991, US Flight 1313 experienced a mysterious, magnetic anomaly somewhere over the South Pacific. Engines failed, pilots cursed and prayed to their Gods, and three boys (that’s us!) washed ashore on Skull-Face Island, which of course is an ISLAND in the SHAPE of a SKULL! How cool is that!?
After exploring the dark interior of the island with machetes and bullwhips, we found an old communications array. Here’s the weird thing: it still works. Not only does it work, this thing is like Netflix, Amazon Instant, Video on Demand, and Apple TV combined – it’s got all the latest movies and television shows…
