Whatever the problems were that kept PlayStation 3 users from getting their hands on the DLC content released for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it’s clear that they weren’t minor. Months have passed since Xbox 360 users were able to get the game’s add-ons, and there was even a time when it appeared PS3 users might NEVER get to play.
But fear not, Sony fans. Bethesda Softworks has finally unraveled the tricky ball of issues that were causing the delay, and official release dates for the DLC on PS3 have been announced…along with a special offer as a thank you for your patience.
The last DLC that was released, Dragonborn, will actually be the first one made available to PS3 users for some reason. That will be ready for acquisition on February 12th. After that, the add-on Hearthfire will become available on February 19th, and the first DLC to be released, Dawnguard, will arrive on PlayStation Network February 26th.
The special offer is that all of these add-ons will be available to you who have waited oh so long for 50% off their normal prices in the first week that they’re out. So be sure to jump on them immediately.
So far this is just for North America. Bethesda is currently working with Sony Europe to finalize certification so they can spread to other areas of the map.
