Walt Disney World is known as the honeymoon destination of the world, and all Disney parks serve as popular places for couples to spend their vacations and special occasions. Why not use these charming environments as locations for presenting a proposal? In honor of Valentine’s Day and also the “month of love,” Disney In Depth shares a mix of YouTube videos that exhibit romance at its very best.

“Jamin’s Downtown Disney Flashmob Proposal”

YouTube user MarvelsDanceCompany has gained nearly 7.5 million views for this video, posted in September 2011. This music-set proposal, played to the tune of Bruno Mars‘ “Marry Me,” follows the typical routine of a flash mob, with random individuals gradually joining into the routine. But what sets this apart is how “leading man” Jamin engages his girlfriend Val by enlisting their friends to perform in this number. Now that would catch anyone’s attention, and when Jamin jumps into the dance, it becomes quite clear who the dance is intended for.

“Surprise Homecoming and Proposal in front of Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom in Disney World!”

Don’t let this long title dissuade you from watching a touching and simple proposal by YouTube user Melissa Grochowski. A girlfriend is surprised by her boyfriend, making this arrival back home – and at one of the happiest places on Earth – even more sweet. Sometimes words do not give justice to a visual element, and this symbolizes one of those cases.

“Disneyland Belle’s Library Marriage Proposal”

Without question the Disney theme parks are home to innumerable exquisite venues. Though the Beauty and the Beast-themed library in the Disney Animation building at California Adventure feels small, its quaint setting lends the ideal touch to this beautiful proposal. YouTube user HopinWishinPrayin captured this hard-to-replicate moment, which occurs perfectly with the background music (when Belle declares her love and Beast transforms into a prince). The boyfriend in this piece even hands his fiancée a red rose, akin to the movie motif. What a tale that was ideally timed.

“Disney’s Turtle Talk Proposal”

How many proposals can claim that a virtual sea turtle helped out in making the event take place? YouTube user EMBrown801 caught this audience participation proposal, in which Crush encourages everyone to close their eyes. “You, too,” he says to Courtney, right before Ethan unveils the ring. Their wedding blog tells the proposal story, in how Ethan and the family developed this plan with the Disney Cast Members. I love Courtney’s reaction when Ethan reveals the surprise. “Say cha,” one audience member shouts, encouraging Courtney to accept.

“Disney Proposal”

Rub the lamp and your wish will be granted. YouTube user Zuniga337 films this proposal, set backstage at Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular, which allows “Prince Ali” and gang to get in on the action. When Rich wishes to marry his girlfriend Sarah, Genie appears to help make this a reality. Aladdin, too. All three men kneel down. Not only is this hilarious to watch, but also this proves that with some Disney magic, dreams can be envisioned.

“Jolly Proposal”

What happens when one of the Disney performers proposes to another Disney performer? For David Jolly of the Beauty and the Beast show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, he utilized the platform to ask an important question to Heidi, the woman he fell in love with on stage. YouTube user Kelly Anzalone catches this moment. One can only imagine the nerve-wracking feelings in proposing to anyone in front of hundreds upon hundreds of individuals, but David makes the most of the occasion. Heidi accepts.

“Jarod Gets Engaged”

YouTube user briberry belongs among the more prolific when it comes to filming Disney character experiences in the parks. It only makes sense that one of the featured videos in this column does not contain truth. But it sure feels real, at least to Drizella, Cinderella’s stepsister, who accepts park guest Jarod’s proposal. “You are all invited to the wedding, but have to bring your own food and drinks and pay stuff and get us gifts,” she chants.
