Kickstarter Spotlight: The Devils Tree

Let’s face it…we are spoiled. We live in a time of nearly instant gratification, dream projects made real and a constant parade of geekery at our fingertips. We also live in a world where highly talented people can find each other and join forces to create something new, original, and untouched by the Hollywood machine…or attempt to do so.

With that thought in your cranium, we’d like to introduce you to The Devil’s Tree.

Synopsis:

“After visiting a landmark tree rumored to be a gateway to hell, a group of friends hold a small house party where, without explanation, they realize they mentally can’t bring themselves to leave. Shortly after this revelation, torment and slaughter begins at the hands of a supernatural killer with a warped, sadistic sense of humor.”

If you’re a fan of ultra powerful beings coming to our plane of existence just to create a little slice of hell for a crew of unsuspecting kids…just for his own amusement…then this is the project you need to get behind! To further sweeten the pot, we’ll mention that the creators of this film are more than up for the challenge with credits like The Avengers, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and Hatchet III already under their collective belts and a wild mix of creativity drawing from the worlds of Industrial Light and Magic, Indie Horror, Comedy and Industrial Music to draw from. Have we piqued your interest? Here’s the pitch…

Suffice to say, all of this awesome can’t happen without your support. A meager $9 will score you a digital HD copy of the film when completed, with an exclusive Special Effects Featurette. Other pledge incentives include posters, IMDB credits, a call from Satan and a mixed tape, created with love, from the movie’s supernatural killer. WHO could say no to a mixed tape?? More importantly than all of this, The Devil’s Tree needs people to spread the word, so grab this link -http://kck.st/159AZE1 – and plaster is everywhere your horror loving friends put their eyeballs on a daily basis. Let’s get this movie made and see what other insane projects this crew can come up with!
