C2E2 2013: ‘Locke & Key’ Now Wrapping Up In 2-Issue Mini ‘Locke & Key: Alpha’

There’s been a bit of a change in regards to the release for the end of quite possibly the best series currently being released, Locke & Key. The final miniseries, which was originally scheduled top run six issues, will now come to an end in five issues. However, don’t think that you’re getting the short end of the stick, as the series will now close in an two-issue miniseries, titled Locke & Key: Alpha. The two issues will come in at 48 pages each, and will see release starting in August, 2013.

Video: J.J. Abrams Thinks John Williams Will Score ‘Star Wars Episode 7’
During a Berlin press conference for Star Trek Into Darkness, director J.J. Abrams was asked about Michael Giacchino’s score for the movie, as well as who might be scoring his next movie, Star Wars Episode VII.
While it’s very early in the process still, Abrams did say that he believed that the man you’d most expect to be scoring the movie, John Williams, would be the man that does score the movie.

Three New Trailers For Rockstar Games’ ‘Grand Theft Auto 5’ Released
A trio of new trailers has been released by Rockstar Games for their highly anticipated upcoming title, Grand Theft Auto V. As has been reported in the past, the next installment in the wildly popular GTA video game franchise (and equally popular scapegoat for government imbeciles) will revolve around three different protagonists instead of the usual single main character.
As you may have guessed, these three new trailers will focus on each of the three main characters: Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. The new trailers join the teaser trailer and first official trailer we’ve already seen.

C2E2 2013: ‘X-Men Battle Of The Atom’ Launches In September

It’s the 50th anniversary for Marvel’s X-Men, and Marvel has some big plans for everyone’s favorite mutants. Announced at C2E2 in Chicago, this fall will see the release of X-Men: Battle of the Atom, a ten issue event launching in September with Battle of the Atom #1. The story will then crossover between the regular issues of All-New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine and the X-Men, and X-Men for two months before wrapping up in Battle of the Atom #2.

‘Ted’ & ‘Battleship’ Producer Scott Stuber Developing ‘Gears Of War’ Movie With Epic Games
A movie adaptation of the hit video game series Gears of War is no new thing—first being picked up by New Line Cinema in 2007, with Len Wiseman (Underworld, Total Recall [2012]) set to direct. As with many recent video game hits, a movie version has been discussed many times, and, just like most of them, the Gears attempt has found no success in making it to the silver screen.
But that Hollywood machine does not give up so easily.
It’s being reported that Scott Stuber has now taken hold of the project, and is now working with Gears of War developer Epic Games to develop a new attempt at making the movie a reality.
