It’s hard to believe San Diego Comic-Con is here again! Yet, here we are once more in the middle of the geekpocalypse, reveling in all the awesome sights, soaking in all the not so awesome smells, and absorbing as much booth swag as inhumanly possible!
Last night was Preview Night, which used to mean a nice semi-low key stroll down the convention floor, getting a decent look at what’s what before the throngs of marauding masses trounce the hell out of everything.
IT IS NO MORE, I SAY! I have never seen a preview night this packed. It took us nearly an hour JUST TO GET ONTO THE SHOW FLOOR! The convention floor was as packed to the gills with geeks and geekettes as I’ve ever seen it on a busy Friday or Saturday.
Preview Night’s highlights included a peek at some exoskeletons from Tom Cruise’s upcoming Edge of Tomorrow (recently renamed from All You Need is Kill, a kind of creepy ‘Homeland’ droid from Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium, tons of Hobbit goodness at the WETA booth, the booth babes & dude of Black Sails, and a may-have-went-on-for-a-bit-too-long up-close and personal photo session with a lady-zombie at The Walking Dead installation.
I made my camera go click-click-click. Check ’em out here below.
