Marvel Studios has released a new character poster for Thor: The Dark World featuring Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his human love interest Jane, played by Natalie Portman. One look at this poster will have you wondering what the hell is going on with Natalie Portman and why would this image even be approved for release?
I can’t even imagine why they apparently photoshopped Portman’s head on a barbie doll or why her facial expression is so terrible. And my only guess as to why it was released like this would be that it will get people talking, and it sure has. I expect this one to be on every Photoshop Disasters site out there. I likely would not even have bothered to post to about it had I not been so mesmerized by its hideousness. So, job well done, Marvel.
Check out the full poster here below.
Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
Directed by Alan Taylor, Thor: The Dark World opens in theaters on November 8, 2013.
