Warner Bros has released the first trailer for the Jupiter Ascending starring Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Sean Bean, and Eddie Redmayne. The film can be seen as a Cinderella in space kind of story, with Kunis playing the princess who’s working dead-end jobs on planet Earth being saved by Caine (Tatum), who tells her that her genetic markings puts her next in line for the galactic throne. Hit the jump to see the full trailer.

I’m not going to lie to you: For something that goes from planet Earth to Jupiter, the Wachowski’s Jupiter Ascending‘s scope seems surprisingly small. But the detail that went into the visuals, now that is something that will definitely take your breath away. Something that really shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the directing team brought us films like The Matrix Trilogy, Speed Racer, and Cloud Atlas.

Directed by Andy and Lana Wachowski, Jupiter Ascending also stars Douglas Booth, James D’Arcy, and Doona Bae. Warner Bros, will release the film into theaters July 25, 2014.

Synopsis: Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning toilets and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along – her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
