Heroes and villains have to wear a costume to either protect their identity or create an image in the public’s eye. Now some of these costumes can be cool by being original or literal. But sometimes going the literal route may not be the best choice.
Both Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox will have the speedster mutant Quicksilver in their upcoming films. And while we still have a while to see what Marvel has come up with for their interpretation in Avengers: Age of Ultron, we are now getting a first look at what Evan Peters will look like as Quicksilver in Bryan Singer‘s X-Men: Days of Future Past. Hit the jump to see what he looks like.
Okay, so I’m disappointed, but not surprised. Considering how many of the costumes in the films we’ve seen look like regular clothes, and the only few costumes that were used that can be considered actual costumes, seeing a Quicksilver, with sleek silver hair and a silver jacket, is something you’d expect to see from Singer. And looking at how old Quicksilver is in this image, I wonder how they will be able to explain the family lineage to Magneto (Michael Fassbender), if there is even one to begin with.
Not to be nit picky or anything, but Professor X (James McAvoy) who can walk in X-Men: First Class is shot and confined to a wheelchair, but appears to have full use of his legs in DOFP. It’s a tad bit confusing to keep track of his walking and being confined to a wheelchair.
Thanks to SuperHeroHype for the image.
We also have another image from EW that sees Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) in what appears to be the losing end of a fight.
