As part of their monthly MP3 album deals, Amazon has Slayer‘s Seasons In The Abyss on sale for only 5.00 in MP3 format. (If you’d like a physical copy of the album, the CD is available for $12.98 and is an AutoRip, which means with the CD purchase you’ll also get a FREE MP3 download of the entire album.)
Released in 1990, Seasons In The Abyss was a worthy follow-up to the mighty South Of Heaven, serving as a continuation of its predecessor with songs like “War Ensemble,” “Spirit In Black,” “Expendable Youth,” “Dead Skin Mask,” and the epic title track. The album was Slayer’s fifth full-length studio effort featuring the classic line-up of Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman on guitars; Dave Lombardo on drums; and Tom Araya on bass and vocals, and was the last before Lombardo’s departure from Slayer. (Lombardo later returned to Slayer several times.)
Browse all 100 albums on sale this month for only $5 each, and be sure to check out the current $5.99 Live Albums Sale.

Last year’s The Purge was one of 2013’s sleeper hits at the box office, which was enough to convince Universal Pictures to finance its sequel, The Purge: Anarchy. The premise centers on the entire nation shutting off its emergency services and allowing for any crime to occur for a 12 hour period. Ethan Hawke and Lena Headly were some of the headline stars to appear in the first one, but won’t reappear in the second. Instead the film will focus on new characters who are in a much scarier situation than their predecessors.
Now we’ve got our first look at the film in the form of a teaser trailer, which gives us a small look at what happens when you are not in the comfort of your own home. Watch it below.

Legendary Funnyman Sid Caesar Dies At 91
|
Legendary funnyman Sid Caesar, whose wild-eyed, rubbery, and improvisational characterizations made him one of the pioneers of the early Golden Age of Television during the 1950s with the program Your Show of Shows, has died at the age of 91. His death was revealed via a Twitter post by talk show maven Larry King.
Caesar represented one of the very first funny men of television. His Your Show of Shows, along with sidekick and equally funny and manic Imogene Coca, and with sketches written by people who would become absolute luminaries in television, Broadway, and films, like Carl Reiner, Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Neil Simon, and others, was a smash hit during the early 1950s. It also won scores of Emmy awards, was performed live each week, and most importantly, was an early proponent of the sketch comedy that programs like Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In and especially Saturday Night Live would later flower and crystallize. Caesar’s zany, off-the-cuff, off-the-radar, maniacal energy, which borderlined on lunatic, seemed to take every ounce of his inner grit to bring to fruition. In a way, other than maybe arguably Jerry Lewis, no other performer sweated to make his comedy 100 percent successful more than Sid Caesar did.
