In less than a month we will finally be able to feast our eyes on Marvel Studios’ intergalactic action extravaganza Guardians of the Galaxy. Until then every clip, image, and trailer released is nothing more than a sadistic tease orchestrated by the Dark Lord Beelzebub Himself. But what the hey, here’s a new trailer with some previously unseen footage for your viewing enjoyment.
Check it out here below.
The trailer is scored to the rocking sounds of The Runaways‘ blasting teen rebellion anthem “Cherry Bomb” – which will be on the film’s official soundtrack – in keeping with the FM radio classics theme of the Guardians ad campaign. We get some new jokes, an extended version of the “I have part of a plan” scene, Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) gets to speak, and Vin Diesel gives us a never-before-heard “I am Groot.”
I fully intend to go into this movie without having much of the plot spoiled, but I am loving these trailers.
Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro, Djimon Hounsou, Michael Rooker, and the voice talents of Bradley Cooper. The much-anticipated sci-fi adventure opens on August 1, 2014.
