A pair of actors are reportedly in talks to join Ryan Reynolds on the cast of Deadpool, the long-awaited standalone movie featuring the Merc with a Mouth.
Keeping with the plans to make Deadpool a comic book movie with a healthy dose of humor, stand-up comedian and actor T.J. Miller has entered into early talks for a role in the movie. Also in talks is Ed Skrein, whose negotiations a little deeper than Miller’s.
Miller is one of the stars of the recent HBO hit comedy from Mike Judge, Silicon Valley, and has also been seen recently in Transformers: Age of Extinction, and heard in Marvel and Disney’s Big Hero 6 and DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon 2.
Skrein is perhaps best known for his brief three-episode stint on HBO’s Game of Thrones as Daario Naharis, before departing the show to star in The Transporter Legacy. His role of Daario was then recast with Michiel Huisman.
Who the actors are playing is not yet known, though it is thought that Skrein could be in line to play the villain…or one of the villains, depending on which way they’re going with it.
Deadpool is currently scheduled for release on February 12, 2016.
