Just before Sunday night’s Super Bowl, Terminator Genisys star Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a video where he revealed which team he was rooting for by holding up a sign with a metal Terminator robot hand, and during NBC’s live broadcast of the big game, there was a Terminator GenisysTV Spot for the film.
But that wasn’t the end of the night for the former California governor. After the Super Bowl, the actor made his way over to The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon for the special live episode. Right before the first commercial break (after the star-studded a capella version of Queen’s “We Are the Champions), Schwarzenegger made a smokey entrance in his Terminator attire of t-shirt, leather jacket, and dark sunglasses to simply say “We’ll be back.”
There’s no individual clip of the entrance, but the full episode is embedded here below, so skip to around the 30:30-minute mark just before the first ad break to see it. [Update – the individual clip is now online, see it here below.]
Jimmy Fallon did a special post-Super Bowl episode live from Phoenix, Arizona near where the big game was played, and was joined by Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, and Drew Barrymore for one of his epic lip-synch battles, as well as a musical performance by Ariana Grande. To celebrate the New England Patriots’ win, the show welcomed team members Danny Amendola, Brandon LaFell, and LeGarrette Blount. (Check out the coverage of that with individual video clips here.) There was also the aforementioned Arnold Terminator moment.
Late last night, Schwarzenegger posted a photo of himself with Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart during their post-game guest spots on The Tonight Show.

Terminator Genisys, which hits theaters on July 1, 2015, will see the full return of franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator, who, similar to his character in 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day, will be a protector, known here as The Guardian.
When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future”¦
