New ‘Deadpool’ Image Has Title Character Causing Some Traffic

Deadpool Header

Ryan ReynoldsDeadpool will sever ties with the soft and tame version of the character we saw in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, by giving a real unfiltered representation of the character, in an all new film appropriately titled Deadpool. Though there has yet to be a confirmation, Deadpool is expected to have a panel at Comic-Con. This only make sense since Bryan Singer says he will stop by to reveal some footage of X-Men: Apocalypse. But just in case there isn’t a panel, Fox has released a brand new image revealing the title character giving some drivers major headaches, by causing a little traffic. Reynolds also reveals the intimate thing he wants to do with the person who leaked the Deadpool test footage.

Read his comments as well as check out the new image below.

In an interview with EW, Reynolds said he wanted to kiss the person who leaked the video online, but it won’t be any ordinary kiss,

“And not just a little kiss,” he purrs, “but full on the mouth, sloppy, with tongue, for two straight minutes on live television, without commercial interruption. And then I’ll buy you dinner at Red Lobster, at least, and dessert.”

Sounds like quite an offer – wish I leaked the video.

Fans of the character won’t have to worry about Deadpool being PG-13. Producer Simon Kinberg assures everyone that the film will be getting a hard R – something previously thought was confirmed in a video released on April Fool’s Day,

“Deadpool is a hard R,” assures producer Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past). “It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t.”

Making his directorial debut, Deadpool helmer Tim Miller cites David Fincher’s adaptation of Fight Club as an inspiration for the tone of the film,

“I felt Fight Club and Tyler Durden were good corollaries,” he says. “We are in strip clubs and dive bars and crappy apartments and far away from the shiny X-Men world.”
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
