Heroes Reborn had a panel at San Diego Comic-Con today. On the panel were creator Tim Kring, moderator and cast member Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), Jack Coleman (HRG – Noah Bennet), Noah Gray Cabey (Micah Sanders), Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura), Zachari Levi (Luke Collins), Jimmy Jean-Louis (The Haitian), Rya Kihlstedt (Erica), Henry Zebrowski (Quentin Frady), Robbie Kay (Tommy), Kiki Sukezane (Miko Otomo), Judith Shekoni (Joanne), Danika Yarosh (Malina), Ryan Guzman (Carlos), and Gatlin Green (Emily).
Check out the trailer below.
The trailer is a bit over 3 minutes and shows a world where the heroes are missing or in hiding, and Noah Bennet (Coleman) being called to action. Someone mailed him his glasses. It looks like The Haitian is sent in to help his memory. The trailer also shows Robbie Kay’s power – it looks like he can make people disappear. What?
The Hall H panel revealed teasers to the 2 video games and the 1st episode of the web series, Dark Matter (you have to download the free Heroes Reborn app to watch). The games and web series will fill in the blanks of the last five years between when the original series ended and this one begins. I’ve seen web comments about how people think the person mailing the glasses and setting everything up is really Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia). As much as I wish that was so, that was not confirmed.
Grunberg did some cute bits telling the audience that their minds had to be wiped now before introducing The Haitian, and talking to Masi Oka on video before he flashes in.
The audience also got to see a clip from the show (alas… not for the public).
