So no… this is not from the show Lip Sync Battle. But it’s from where it was born. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, Jimmy Fallon went up against Tom Cruise in a heated competition.
Watch their lip sync battle below.
Cruise started out with the “song of the summer,” The Weekend’s “Can’t Feel My Face.” And he was great. But what do you expect? Someone who is willing to do their own death defying stunts (I included that video below as well), surely finds it a bit of nothing to practice a little lip syncing. He looks like he really enjoys practicing that song in the mirror at home.
Fallon counters with “Undercover Of The Night” by The Rolling Stones, and he channels Mick and Keith by doing all of Jagger’s moves, along with the air strumming emphatic riffs. So good.
There’s a surprise slide. I screamed like a little girl.
Then… Cruise did my favorite Karaoke song, “Paradise By The Dashboard Light” by Meatloaf. Both parts. He may be 53, but he looks 30, and still has that Maverick grin. Poor Jimmy.
To top that… Fallon invited Cruise to help him with The Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’.”
“This one goes out to Goose.”
Then they kneel and sing it to a girl in the audience, who is freaking out. It was awesome.
