“My name is Jay Garrick. And your world is in danger.”
The Flash has a new season 2 promo out and it is making me giddy. Super successful in its inaugural season that ended in a literal tornado, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) had to run up the side of a buidling in an attempt to stop the giant wormhole from consuming Central City.
Check out the season 2 promo below.
In the season 1 finale, we saw a helmet come flying out of the wormhole they created to save Barry’s mom and get Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) back to his time. That helmet belonged to the original Flash, Jay Garrick, whom we learned at SDCC, will be played by Teddy Sears.
Seems like season 2 is preparing for mind implosion with other worlds and timelines, setting Cisco up for his future metapower – the ability to see through time (I think). Personally, I think his geeky references and one-liners are his superpowers, but he can have more than one, right?
Lisa Snart (Peyton List): “I always did like a man who could handle a gun.”
Cisco (Carlos Valdes): “You should see my Nerf collection.”
Hubba, hubba… As you can probably tell, I’ve really missed Cisco.
News on Tom Cavanagh as the original Dr. Wells. You all remember that was part of my hope after the finale – since Eobard ceased to exist, he could not have killed Dr. Wells, therefore we get Cavanagh back.
“Harrison Wells will be back, but he’s going to be a very different Harrison Wells than we’ve seen before. We’ve got other worlds. We’ve got other timelines. All I’m going to say is he’s from one of those places.”
Yay! I also cannot wait to see Atom-Smasher (Adam Copeland aka Edge) on The Flash. Did you catch that glimpse?
The Flash returns Tuesday, October 6th at 8pm ET on The CW.
