During tonight’s Season 2 finale of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead, the first teaser trailer for Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales debuted.
Watch the teaser trailer here below.
The fifth installment of the Pirates film franchises will the return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, along with Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbossa, Kevin McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, and Orlando Bloom as Will Turner, with Brenton Thwaites as Henry, Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth, and Javier Bardem as the new villain, Captain Salazar.
The teaser introduces us to Bardem’s Salazar, an old nemesis of Sparrow’s who’s escaped the Devil’s Triangle along with his fellow ghost pirates. This first footage does not show Depp’s Sparrow, but his old pal is looking for him, as are many others apparently — there’s a Wanted poster with a crude drawing of the famous pirate captain. Salazar has a message for Jack: Death will come straight to him.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea”¦including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters in 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D on May 26, 2017.
