Almost two years back we saw a Kickstarter campaign for a first-person horror game titled Perception, in which the character you play as, named Cassie, is blind and must use her extra-sensitive hearing to see the world around her.
The game comes from indie developer The Deep End Games, which includes veteran gamemakers who have worked on BioShock, BioShock Infinite, Dead Space, Rock Band, and more, and publisher Feardemic. Now the title is ready to be released, and a new trailer has been released which also reveals when we’ll get the chance to play it.
You can read more about the game and watch the new trailer below.
Crafted by a team of veteran PC and console developers (BioShock, BioShock Infinite, Dead Space), Perception (PC/PS4) offers a bold and fresh take on first person narrative games.
“See” using echolocation. Every sound creates a visual.
Engage in a deadly game of hide and seek with relentless enemies, including The Presence.
Trigger radical change at the Estate at Echo Bluff each time you solve its mysteries.
Travel back through history to exorcise your own nightmares.
Perception is a first-person narrative horror adventure that tells the story of Cassie, a blind heroine who uses her extraordinary hearing and razor-sharp wits to unravel the mysteries of an abandoned estate that haunts her dreams.
Perception is set to be released on May 30th, and will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
