SDCC 2017 The Strain Season 4 Logo

San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone, but we are still reaping the benefits of all the fun. For those of us that were wistfully watching from afar, hordes of fans and cosplayers (also fans, obviously) descended upon the convention center to interact with, watch, and buy celebrity encounters and merchandise. Videos are still being released, and I found these gems from FX’s The Strain.

Check out the videos from SDCC 2017 below.

In its 4th and last season, The Strain picked up 9 months after the nuclear blast that rocked New York City, caused by Zach (Max Charles) in anger at his father, Eph (Corey Stoll), killing his strigoi mother. The band broke up: Eph was being selfish, but joined a resistance group, Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas) is a prisoner in a breeder factory, Gus (Miguel Gomez) is hustling, Fet and Quinlan (Kevin Durand, Rupert Penry-Jones) are in search of a bomb, and Setrakian (David Bradley) is missing.

The actual panel clips are great little tidbits, but the treasure is the therapy session in which “psychiatrist” Carlton Cuse has the characters sharing their feelings:

Zach: “… I hate you! You hear me? I hate you!”

Cuse: “And now Eph, I’d like you to repeat in your own words what you heard Zach say to you.”

Eph: “Well, I just heard Zach say that… he understands the choices that I’ve made, and he loves and respects me, and he wants me to have sole custody.”

So good.
