Christopher Nolan Rumored To Direct The Next James Bond Film

The chances of Christopher Nolan directing the next James Bond film are pretty slim considering the fact that he is already directing Interstellar for Paramount and Warner Brothers. But what if the sci-fi film about traveling through wormholes starring Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Matthew McConaughey, and Michael Caine, were to be cast aside so that Nolan could direct the next Bond film? Hard to see that happen, but there is a rumor that is starting to surface that indicate that this could very well happen.
Considering that the report comes from The Daily Mail, this rumor could be nothing more than just a rumor. According to them, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have begun informal talks with The Dark Knight Rises director. But just because Nolan cannot direct Bond 24, doesn’t mean he cannot direct the one after it. As The Daily Mail said, “It does no harm for Broccoli and Wilson to talk with Nolan, even if nothing happens this time round.” [...]

‘Riddick’ Trailer: Only One Can Rule The Dark

The first trailer for Riddick was more concerned with announcing the return of the titular character than the actual story. From that one trailer alone, it looked like Riddick (Vin Disel) was banished to a desolate planet and thought to live his life on it in solitude. Little did he know that a band of bounty hunters was out for his head.
Now, a new trailer sheds light on that aspect. Watch the trailer here below.
The synopsis provides a little more in depth details as to how these bounty hunters come across the man who can see in the dark. Riddick, in a desperate act of survival, activates an emergency beacon that finds its way into the hands of nefarious bounty hunters. But this is Riddick we are talking about, and the man isn’t about to go down without a fight [...]

Robert Rodriguez’s ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ To Become A TV Series

While not the most box office successful movie, Robert Rodriguez‘s From Dusk Till Dawn achieved cult status, and because of it, it will be going from the big screen to your TV, and I don’t mean an edited version of the film.
It’s being reported that the film is being adapted into a televised series under the El Rey Network Banner, which also happens to be Rodriguez’s latest creation, and owned by Univision. The English language Station will launch later this year, with From Dusk Till Dawn and another untitled show produced by Star Trek Into Darkness scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. [...]

Ever since Disney acquired Marvel, many fans speculated some great animated flicks based on Marvel properties to come our way. Now the first major project may not be an A-list hero or even a B-list one, but it should generate interest in some of the more smaller titles that Marvel may have. We may have been inundated with so many live-action iterations of Marvel titles, but Big Hero 6 is one of the first of the Marvel titles that will be a full-length animated feature.
Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau are behind the success that is Big Hero 6, which features a group of rookie superheroes on a mission to save their city from an impending doom. Winnie The Pooh director Don Hall will helm the adaptation based on the hit comic, which is due out for release November 7, 2014. ‘Captain Phillips’ Trailer: Paul Greengrass Takes True-Life Hostage Crisis To Dangerous Waters

A large part of what makes films based on true-life stories so appealing to a wide audience is the fact that it relies so much on the drama. It’s what keeps the audiences glued to their seat, because even though they probably already know what is going to happen because they’ve read about it, they want to experience it first hand by watching it. So imagine what happens when they watch Paul Greengrass‘ latest directorial effort Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks in the titular role.
You can watch the trailer for the film here below.
For those who might not remember, Captain Richard Phillips was captaining the Maersk Alabama, a cargo ship, when it was attacked by Somali pirates. He offered himself as a hostage in order to save his crew members from further harm. This act of heroism made its way into national headlines as the world held its breath to see what would happen to the captain. The rest is pretty much history, but it does have all the ingredients for a intense drama [...]

‘Ender’s Game’ Trailer: The Unfilmable Sci-Fi Story Finally Gets Big Screen Adaptation

Nearly 20 years after Orson Scott Card‘s novel was first published, an adaptation of Ender’s Game is finally hitting the big screen. For a long time, Card had believed that the book was “unfilmable” not because of the amount of violence depicted, but because it all took place in Ender’s head. But the film’s first trailer has appeared online, and so far, it looks like it’s not living up to Card’s statements.
Whether or not this trailer will please or anger fans certainly remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, Ender’s Game looks like it will please a new generation of sci-fi fans. Hit the jump to see the new trailer. [...]

Watch The Latest Trailer For ‘White House Down’ Starring Channing Tatum & Jamie Foxx

The first trailer for Roland Emmerich‘s White House Down was surprisingly somber and lacked the action-packed punch you would expect from an Emmerich film.
This new trailer, however, is the polar opposite of that. In just a matter of weeks, we are already getting trailer number two for the film, and there is a lot of action to look out for. Not only that, but make sure to look out for some hilarious buddy cop chemistry between Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum.

The moment the test footage for the Edgar Wright-directed Ant-Man leaked online, the world got a sneak peak at what to expect from the hero who could manipulate his size easily. Judging by the reaction at last year’s SDCC and the leaked footage that was posted, a lot of people are excited to see Ant-Man come to life on the big screen.

Michael B. Jordan Rumored To Play Johnny Storm In Josh Trank’s ‘Fantastic Four’

Before Andrew Garfield signed on to play as Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man, Donald Glover was rumored to play as the webslinging hero. That was as close as we got to an actor of color playing a lead character who is normally portrayed as a Caucasian. Now we are a step closer to breaking the comic book color barrier with this latest rumor.
Josh Trank is currently in the casting phase of the Fantastic Four reboot. One of the biggest casting rumors to circulate is that Allison Williams (HBO’s Girls) will play Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman. Now there is a report from The Wrap indicating that Chronicle star Michael B. Williams could play Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch, a character who has long been recognized as white. [...]

’42′ Star Chadwick Boseman Tops Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther’ Shortlist

Nearly a year has passed since we’ve reported on anything regarding the Black Panther movie from Marvel Studios. In fact the last bit of news about Black Panther was that Marvel was rumored to be working on the film. Well that rumor is pretty much a fact, but as to where the character fits into which phase of the Marvel cinematic universe, remains a mystery. A solo movie would obviously go into phase 3, but there are rumors circulating that the character could make an appearance in The Avengers 2.
So Latino Review is reporting that 42 star Chadwick Bosemen is one of the stars who could sign on to play the Prince of Wakanda. Hit the jump for more info. [...]

‘The Wolverine’ Trailer: The Legendary Mutant Versus The Legendary Samuari

If there’s any movie superheros that needed some bolstering, it would be Wolverine. The first chapter in his origins story failed to live up to expectations, but James Mangold’s upcoming The Wolverine will try to rebuild the legendary character’s name. We’ve already seen the first trailer, and this new trailer isn’t what you could call a typical trailer in sense; it was edited for those who attended Cinema Con, and although there is some familiar footage, there is a key scene in it that could make the film worth your while.
Two key scenes in this trailer to focus on are the overwhelmingly amount of ninjas that nearly bring Wolverine to his knees, and the Silver Samurai tease that I’m sure we’ll get to see more of when another trailer comes out.
Hit the jump to check it out. [...]
