I love playing Scene It?, the popular board/pop culture question game. Why do I love it, you ask? Because, depending on the subject matter of the particular edition played at the time, I DOMINATE! Put in The Simpsons or the Seinfeld editions and I will own your ass and send you crying home to mommy. Which is why I’m so excited that Screenlife, creators of the Scene It? games have announced that they will at long last be producing a Star Wars edition of the game, and yet another edition in which I will dominate.

Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast announced on Monday that they are hard at work on a new edition of the venerable Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. This will be the fifth major edition of the game since it was originally released in 1974 and comes only four years after the release of the fourth edition rule set.

The news was first broke in the New York Times with a follow up announcement coming directly from Wizards of the Coast later in the day. It has been a bad couple of days if you are a low-selling Marvel comic, as the company put the axe to a couple of series, while two others were brought to their planned conclusion. Word came down Tuesday that Marvel was canceling X-23, the story of the young, female clone of Wolverine, as written by Marjorie Liu. That same day, word came down that Jason Aaron's PunisherMax would be coming to an end, with the rumor originally being that the series was canceled with issue #22. New York Comic-Con 2011 saw the premiere of the first episode of the all-new Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Geeks of Doom was there to watch it. The show will launch on November 11th on Cartoon Network with the one-hour episode that was shown. The animated series will then take a bit of a break before returning to Cartoon Network in the spring as part of the DC Nation block of programming.

The series is produced by animation legend Bruce Timm, but according to Timm, is not a part of the unofficial “Timm-verse” which includes shows such as Batman: The Animated Series, Superman, and Justice League. Saturday at New York Comic-Con 2011 saw the first public screening of the first episode of the new Green Lantern: The Animated Series. We will have a full run down of the first episode later, but first we will show you the first scene, which DC/Warner Bros has released to the public.

IDW Publishing has announced that they will be releasing Road Rage, a new comic featuring a team-up of the father/son team of Stephen King and Joe Hill. Joining them on the book will be sci-fi legend Richard Matheson (I Am Legend). The series will be four issues long, with two issues (subtitled Throttle) written by King and Hill, and the second two (subtitled Duel) written by Matheson. Art for the Throttle part of the series will be done by Nelson Daniel, who has been handling colors for IDW’s The Cape (among other books) and steps up to pencils for this book. The artist for Duel will be Rafa Garres. The whole series is co-written and coordinated by IDW Chief Creative Officer and Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall. The first two issues will feature incentive covers by Tony Harris. Totally Rad Show, Diggnation, and former Screen Savers host Alex Albrecht is a man of many talents, director of films among them.

Today, he dropped a short film on YouTube titled Voltron: The End. The short features an older Lance (played by Timothy Omundson, who plays Detective Lassiter on the USA series Psych), pilot of the Red Lion, recovering from an accident. It is short, but sweet and a total treat for Voltron fans.
