Watch Now: Brad Pitt Eating…And Eating…And Eating…And Eating…

BAADASSSSS!   |

Brad Pitt Eating

Julia Roberts smiles. Tom Cruise runs. Brad Pitt…well he eats.

Movieclips has assembled a brief video montage of Pitt enjoying various foodstuffs and libations in movies like Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s trilogy, Johnny Suede, Troy, Burn After Reading, Seven, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Kalifornia, and The Mexican. The most time is given to Meet Joe Black, the movie best known for introducing the Grim Reaper to the joys of peanut butter. Thus a love affair for the ages was set in motion. [...]

Election 2012: Darth Vader, Lord Voldemort Among The Candidates

Empress Eve   |

election 2012

It’s a Presidential election year here in the United States, so the campaigns are underway. But in the geek world, which characters would be running for election this year?

Kevin David Anderson, author of Night Of The Living Trekkies, has posted some campaign adverts to Facebook that feature some really hot tickets so far:

- Darth Vader and Lord Voldemort
- George Takei and Bruce Campbell
- Cybermen and Borg

What Would ‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ Look Like In Real Life? There Are No Words, Only Pictures

The Movie God   |

Beavis and Butt–Head

Ever wondered what the newly revived MTV series Beavis and Butt-Head would look like in real life? Well…too bad, we’re going to show you anyway!

Special effects and make-up whiz Kevin Kirkpatrick is the man responsible for bringing the underachieving animated duo to life. If you’ve not heard the name before, you’ve most definitely seen his work. He’s done make-up work on the Friday the 13th, The Wolfman, and Nightmare on Elm Street remakes, as well as upcoming titles like The Avengers, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln (ironic, eh?). [...]

Wait, What? ‘Silent Hill’ Took Place At ‘Kindergarten Cop’ School?

The Movie God   |

Kindergarten Cop

Clicking this it was assumed that it would be a waste of time…and it still very well might be, if it turns out to be bogus somehow.

But at first glance, a slew of comparison pictures seems to indicate that the school in the hit 1999 survival horror video game Silent Hill was in fact the very same school Arnold Schwarzenegger found himself teaching kindergarten at in the 1990 flick, Kindergarten Cop. [...]

The ‘Community’ Board Game Can Help You Find Your Path To A Brighter Future

BAADASSSSS!   |

Community Board Game

Community is coming back, folks. It will happen some day soon. In the meantime you can make the time leading up to the show’s return go much faster by playing this cool Community board game concocted by the people at US Direct, a subsidiary of Direct TV.

You can check out the game board below and you can download and print a much larger version of the board—which comes with cut-out game pieces depicting the seven members of Greendale’s most diverse (and screwed up) study group—at the US Direct source link below. [...]

Watch Now: The Live-Action ‘Rugrats’ Movie That Will Haunt Your Dreams

The Movie God   |

Live-Action Rugrats

I’m not even quite sure what to say about this one, so I’ll just let you go ahead and be the judges.

Funny or Die has created a trailer for a live-action adaptation of the popular Nickelodeon cartoon Rugrats that promises to be “the most disturbing movie ever made,” and the trailer certainly implies that it could be just that.

You can see the video by clicking on over to the other side now! [...]

Excelsior! Check Out The ‘Community’ Gang Envisioned As Marvel’s X-Men

BAADASSSSS!   |

Community

I’ve made it clear in the past that in recent months Community has become one of my absolute favorite television comedies of all time. So as I and millions of fans of the show around the world anxiously await its still-undated return it’s time that we take stock of Community‘s limitless supply of awesomeness and how it can be applied to other geek-related properties.

We’ve seen the Community‘s cast of characters depicted in fan artwork as Batman villains and the Avengers. Now artist Aviv Or has outdone them all with his vision of Greendale Community College’s finest study group as Marvel Comics’ uncanny team of super-powered mutants, the X-Men. [...]

Watch Now: ‘Wall-E’ Meets Ridley Scott in ‘WALL-ETHEUS’

BAADASSSSS!   |

Wall-Etheus

You may not know the name Brad Hansen, but you should. Hansen is the creator of the Lion King/Dark Knight Rises mash-up trailer The Lion King Rises that premiered last week (watch it here). The video currently has over one million hits and rising every day.

By popular demand Hansen has taken the other most notable movie trailer to premiere in recent weeks, Ridley Scott’s upcoming Alien spiritual prequel Prometheus, and merged it with a sweet-natured Pixar flick from several years ago. The result is WALL-ETHEUS! [...]

Watch Now: ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer Done In The Style Of ‘Batman: The Animated Series’

BAADASSSSS!   |

Bane from Batman: The Animated Series

Another day, another trailer mash-up. Today we have another remix of the recent trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, the concluding entry in Christopher Nolan’s cinematic reinvention of the classic DC Comics superhero Batman. This time around the creator of this video has synched the trailer’s audio to related images from Batman: The Animated Series.

Over the summer someone also put together a mash-up of the Dark Knight Rises teaser and Batman: TAS. You can watch both videos here below. [...]

Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman’s “Somethin’ Stupid” … ‘Skyrim’ Style!

The Movie God   |

Somethin' Stupid

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, it’s yet another Skyrim video! If you’ve not noticed, I have something of a obsession going on here, and if it’s Skyrim-related and makes me giggle, it must be shared.

This new video in particular had me giggling like a kid getting tickled by his parents for the first time, unlike that rather strange last video we saw, which only haunted my dreams. [...]

Watch Now: Randy “Macho Man” Savage As A Dragon In ‘Skyrim’

The Movie God   |

Skyrim Dragon

Yes, that headline is 100% accurate. No need to adjust your screens or whatever it is you kids do these days.

Why YouTube mad scientist FancyPants has made this or the logic behind morphing the late wrestling legend Randy “Macho Man” Savage into a dragon in the hit Bethesda Softworks game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is completely unknown. All that is known is that it has happened, and that it’s here now for the world to see. [...]

6 Must-See (And Drink) Cocktails Inspired By 2011′s Top Video Games

The Movie God   |

Modern Warfare Cocktail

Video games? Booze?! Go on, I’m listening…I’m listening.

2011 saw some incredible video games released (mostly in that small chunk of fall when bunches of them were raining down on us), but what can make a great video game even better? Why, an adult beverage concocted in the name of these very same games, of course. [...]

Watch Now: John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ Featuring The Cast of ‘Pingu’

BAADASSSSS!   |

Pingu

There are few movies I love in the world more than John Carpenter‘s 1982 remake of The Thing. Actually there are two — Evil Dead 2 and Blade Runner — but that’s not the point. I love The Thing more than the original Alien most days. It’s just a perfect amalgam of vintage and modern horror-tinged sci-fi with an oppressively effective setting, terrific ensemble acting, innovative practical creature effects that remain horrifying to this day, and an infinitely more quotable script than Alien (Aliens, not so much) [...]

French Fast Food Joint Releases ‘Star Wars’ Burgers For ‘Phantom Menace’ 3D Release

The Movie God   |

Darth Vader and Yoda Burger

>
A French fast food restaurant called Quick is making some specialty burgers in conjunction with the re-release of Star Wars: Episode 1 — The Phantom Menace in 3D.

>
The trio of burgers each draw inspiration from the Star Wars universe. The first is the “Dark Burger,” inspired by Darth Maul (or “Dark Maul”), which can be seen here. Then comes the “Jedi Burger,” inspired by Master Yoda and the Jedi, and last but not least, the “Dark Vador” burger, which is of course inspired by Darth Vader and can be seen above. [...]

‘The Lion King Rises’ Merges ‘The Lion King’ With ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer

BAADASSSSS!   |

The Lion King Rises

Over the past few weeks three of the most anticipated films of 2012 saw their trailers premiere to mostly rapturous receptions. A few days ago someone was inspired to create a Alien/Prometheus mash-up trailer. The clip worked perfectly because those two movies are genetically linked at the story and visual levels. Before that the first trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was reedited into something infinitely superior to what the studio put out.

Thus it was only a matter of time before the well-received second trailer for The Dark Knight Rises got its own fan edit. Some genius decided to take the soundtrack from the trailer and mate it with clips from Disney’s 1994 animated blockbuster The Lion King. You can watch the final product here below [...]

Video: ‘Modern Family’ As A Horror Movie

The Movie God   |

Modern Family Horror

There’s something wholly amusing about taking something popular and re-editing it to look like it belongs in a completely different genre than it does. It’s been done plenty of times before, and it’s been done again here with the hit sitcom Modern Family.

Scriptwrecked has taken the comedy and put together a lengthy five-minute-long movie trailer presenting it as a new horror movie along the same lines of an Orphan or The Good Son. [...]

The Princess Leia (Or Princess Vespa) Headphones You’ve Been Waiting For!

The Movie God   |

Leia Headphones

One of Princess Leia’s iconic traits in the Star Wars universe is her dual-bunned hairstyle. Many have worn it (or tried to wear it) since then, but now it can be so much easier and more useful than before.

JacquieLongLegs has created some Princess Leia headphones, which can be purchased right now on Etsy. And though these are Princess Leia headphones, there is no denying their being a nice replica of the headphones wore by Princess Vespa in Mel Brooks’ Star Wars parody, Spaceballs…which might make them even more fun to own. [...]

Red Letter Media’s Mr. Plinkett Reviews ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull’

BAADASSSSS!   |

Red Letter Media

Mr. Plinkett, the sardonic, slow-speaking (dude sounds creepily like Buffalo Bill) video reviewer for Red Letter Media, has returned with another of his cuttingly funny and methodical dissections of another blockbuster from recent years.

In the past, he’s ripped movies like Star Wars – Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Avatar, and the 2009 Star Trek with joyous gusto. This time around he turns the tables on Steven Spielberg and George LucasIndiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the fourth go-around for filmdom’s favorite fedora-sporting archaeologist/adventurer and a celluloid corpse that has been kicked plenty enough over the years [...]

Celebrating A Metal Christmas With GWAR

cGt2099   |

GWAR

Last year for Christmas, metal demons GWAR decided to post a video that has since become one of my favorite videos of all time. It is fitting to post it up again this year, as sadly we lost guitarist Cory Smoot during 2011.

Cory Smoot aka Flattus Maximus was found dead in November this year. Smoot’s presence in the band was a significant shift forward for GWAR, with the new Flattus contributing his solid musical technique and thoughtful production values to the development of the band. He will be missed.

So, without further ado, here’s GWAR going caroling for Christmas – posted here both for the festive season, and in memory of Cory Smoot [...]

Video: Famous ‘A Christmas Story’ Scene Performed By Hot Dogs

The Movie God   |

A Christmas Story

A new video is making its way around the web in which hot dogs perform the popular scene from the classic holiday movie A Christmas Story, in which Scwartz triple dog dares Flick to stick his tongue to a frozen flag pole.

The video comes from YouTube user Sausage Party Presents and runs a little under two minutes in length.

You can see Sausage Party Presents’ version of A Christmas Story by clicking on over to the other side now. [...]
