Patton Oswalt To Become A ‘Working Class Hero’ In New Fox Animated Series

The Fox Network’s Sunday “Animation Domination” is about to add another high-profile, not-exactly-for-kids cartoon to its line-up. Not letting the failure of the Jonah Hill-starring Allen Gregory and the highly-hyped but under-performing Napoleon Dynamite deter them, the network has granted a “presentation order” to Working Class Hero, a prospective series set in a world where superheroes are underpaid government employees. Actor, comedian, author, and rising geek god Patton Oswalt will provide the voice for the main character, a super-powered father who often finds that battling villains with designs for world domination is a cake walk compared dealing with his rowdy friends and overbearing family. Working Class Hero will be co-written and executive produced by Mike Barker, who executive produced and co-created the similarly-themed Fox hit American Dad with Seth McFarlane [...]

Inspector Spacetime, the Doctor Who Of ‘Community’, To Get His Own Web Series
 |
Posted by BAADASSSSS! | February 22nd, 2012 at 10:00 pm |

The geek-friendly NBC comedy series Community may not be returning from its fan-enraging midseason hiatus until March 15th (as reported here), but for the time being maybe some of the show’s die-hard followers (including yours truly) can take a little comfort in knowing that a small piece of the show’s intricate tapestry wants to take on a life of its own.
Inspector Spacetime, the Doctor Who-spoofing character whose cheeky sci-fi exploits are vastly enjoyed by Community characters Abed (Danny Pudi) and Troy (Donald Glover), will soon be seen in his very own web series, but don’t expect to see any cameos from certain Greendale Community College students. Travis Richey, the Inspector himself, is producing the six-episode series independently [...]

NBC’s ‘Community’ Set To Return In March!

After several months on hiatus, NBC’s Community will be coming back to its Thursday night time slot next month.

Today, showrunner Dan Harmon sent a joyful message out from his Twitter account confirming that Community would be back on Thursday nights at 8 starting March 15, 2012 [...]

Katie Cassidy Cast As Female Lead In CW’s ‘Arrow’
 |
Posted by MK2Fac3 | February 20th, 2012 at 6:00 pm |

Katie Cassidy has been announced as the lead female role in CW’s Green Arrow pilot, Arrow, as none other than Dinah Lance. Perfect….
In case you can’t tell, I’m elated with this news. Cassidy has been named as Dinah Lance. To those unaware, Dinah Lance is also known to those of comic book fans as Black Canary, the main love interest and super heroine bad-ass with super sonic voice. Now, will Black Canary actually show up in the show? I certainly hope so, but it’s just as likely that they will keep her as one of the city’s attorneys. Either way, I think Cassidy is a fantastic choice [...]

Check out the video of the segment here below.
While the comedians make us laugh while also making perfect sense with everything they said regarding this hot button issue, it’s pretty much Poehler’s declaration “Don’t tell me what to do!” that says it all [...]

Classics Series 4 undertakes the interesting era of the Colin Baker years.
