BAADASSSSS!   |

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

A few years ago I, like many, wouldn’t have thought a second G.I. Joe movie to be a likelihood. While G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was a spazztastic joy-bomb of a movie that bled pure, unadulterated fun from its pores, it wasn’t quite the moneymaker that Hasbro’s other big screen franchise brand, Transformers, had become. But after three years it looks like we’re getting a sequel to The Rise of Cobra, and not only does G.I. Joe: Retaliation look a lot better than its predecessor but it appears that director Jon M. Chu (Step Up 3D) and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland), along with a mighty cast, have made a real-as-rhubarb G.I. Joe movie. [...]

‘The Lion King Rises’ Merges ‘The Lion King’ With ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer

BAADASSSSS!   |

The Lion King Rises

Over the past few weeks three of the most anticipated films of 2012 saw their trailers premiere to mostly rapturous receptions. A few days ago someone was inspired to create a Alien/Prometheus mash-up trailer. The clip worked perfectly because those two movies are genetically linked at the story and visual levels. Before that the first trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was reedited into something infinitely superior to what the studio put out.

Thus it was only a matter of time before the well-received second trailer for The Dark Knight Rises got its own fan edit. Some genius decided to take the soundtrack from the trailer and mate it with clips from Disney’s 1994 animated blockbuster The Lion King. You can watch the final product here below [...]
