Lionhead Teases ‘Fable: The Lost Chapters’ HD Remake, ‘Fable 4′

Fans of the Fable video game series have been expecting a new game for a while now. The games have been progressively becoming less and less loved over the years, capped off by the latest entry, Fable: The Journey, a motion-controlled Kinect title that failed pretty spectacularly. But credit is due to fans of the series, who, for the most part, have remained excited about future games despite the growing list of negatives associated with the franchise, holding on to that hope that the next game could be the game to restore the franchise to its original glory.
This tiny sliver of hope grew a bit when Lionhead Studios head Peter Molyneaux—who became infamous for spitting out exciting used car salesman statements about a game that ultimately failed to deliver—departed the company for a new venture. Now Lionhead is teasing fans with a video that appears to announce either an HD re-release of the classic original Fable (including The Lost Chapters, it’s assumed) and/or Fable IV, or perhaps a remake of the original. Check out the video below and share your thoughts! [...]

Ethan Hawke & Julie Deply Have A Message For People Who Text During A Film

Common movie theater etiquette says that texting or talking during a film is highly frowned upon. But ever since the Alamo DraftHouse released the PSA of a disgruntled customer being kicked out for that very action, actors and directors have come out and participated in making these “Stop Texting” PSAs. Lots of them have already gone viral, and now a new PSA from Before Midnight stars Ethan Hawke and Julie Deply could go viral as well.
If you thought these two had chemistry for all three films, you should check out the chemistry they have for this simple, yet hilariously effective PSA from Alamo Drafthouse. And just for good measure, Deply cusses texters and talkers out in French. Don’t worry there are subtitles. Hit the jump to see the video [...]

For those of you who are more into the smaller, more artsy (in a good way) type video games that get released from time to time, here’s one to keep an eye on.

Ay Dios Mio! El Primer Trailer De ‘Machete Kills’ Está Aquí!

Hola queridos lectores! That means, “Hello dear readers.” Gotta special little treat for you today. The first trailer for Machete Kills is now live and in full, lurid color.
You can check it out here below.
Director Robert Rodriguez and Danny Trejo introduce the trailer in Spanish and the narrator speaks the same language throughout the trailer, but fret not you proud hablantes de inglés because the rest of the trailer doesn’t require a Babel fish in your ear to understand. It’s a surprisingly bloodless preview, but Rodriguez is still bringing the crazy like gangbusters. A little violence here, some very pretty women there, and it’s all rounded off by a special appearance by Charlie Sheen as the President of the United States. He’s credited as “Carlos Estevez,” which all of you trivia buffs will recognize as Sheen’s birth name [...]

Video Mashup: Neil Gaiman’s Speech & Zen Pencils Comic Come Together To “Make Good Art”
 |
Posted by Groonk | May 22nd, 2013 at 10:00 am |

What happens when you take Neil Gaiman‘s 2012 commencement speech and the Zen Pencils comic of a tiny bit of that speech? A video mashup happens, my friends. This is the internet after all. Drop below the cut to watch the video and read the tale of how I came to make it. It’s alright if you skim the tale and watch the video. I won’t judge.
Neil Gaiman is a prolific writer of fantasy, science fiction, poetry, and life. He became a beloved writer of mine *mumble mumble* years ago. Amazingly, it wasn’t love at first sight. I tried The Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes & Nocturnes and barely got past the first issue. What can I say. I was younger and still hung up on superhero comics. That’s not a bad place to start but it’s not a place one should stay forever, I think. After a year I gave Mr Gaiman a second try and jumped to The Sandman Vol. 4: Season of Mists. The key to Hell segment of Morpheus’ five year journey in Vertigo comics. That was my key to Gaiman’s pantheon of works. I was hooked on fairy tales, ancient myths and, oddly enough, religion in a brand new way. [...]

As part of the unveiling of the next generation Xbox console, Xbox One, an interesting announcement was made regarding Halo.

Xbox One Reveal: Videos Offer First Look At ‘Call Of Duty: Ghosts’

In case you missed it, Microsoft showed off their Xbox 360 follow-up, the Xbox One, earlier today. As promised, video games weren’t a very big part of the presentation as this particular event was dedicated to showing the console and talking about the company’s vision for the future. The games will be on full display when E3 arrives next month.
There were, however, a couple of video game-related topics covered, the biggest of which was the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Ghosts, which is Infinity Ward’s follow-up to Modern Warfare 3. The game smartly looks to up the story—with the help of Oscar-winning Traffic screenwriter and Syriana writer-director Stephen Gaghan—instead of just the action, and will hopefully keep the series fresh and fun.
A look at the game’s next-gen tech and new features was offered first, followed by the reveal trailer. Continue below now to check them out. [...]

The day has arrived, ladies and gentlemen, and Microsoft has unveiled their next generation Xbox console. Presenting … the XBOX ONE.
Yes, we’re not sure why that’s the title they went with, either, considering this is now the third Xbox console. We knew the Xbox 720 was unlikely, but still.
That said, it’s only a title. Instead of taking the PlayStation 4 route and not showing the console during the console reveal, Microsoft did show what the new system will look like right off the bat. They also went into great detail about what you can expect from the new system.
Continue reading to see what the Xbox One looks like, what kind of power it has, and what kind of new features it offers, complete with videos. [...]

Watch Now: Animated Version Of Patton Oswalt’s ‘Star Wars’ Filibuster

Last month a clip from the hit show Parks and Recreation was released, in which Patton Oswalt attempts a filibuster to prevent a city council vote. Producers of the show told the actor to ramble on about something, and so Oswalt decided to ad-lib his way through his character’s vision for the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII.
Naturally the video became quite popular on the ‘net, opening the door for different takes and variations. Which brings us to today and a new video, which turns Oswalt’s speech into an semi-animated version showing what some of his ideas might look like.
You can check out the animated version of Oswalt’s Star Wars filibuster below now! [...]

“Jesus….MacArthur….Jay-Z….the great ones….always return.”
The four dots are meant to represent dramatic pauses. Work with me here, people.
Paramount Pictures has unveiled the latest trailer for the highly anticipated comedy sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. You can check it out here below.
When I saw that a new trailer for Anchorman 2 had hit today I tracked it down with the hope that we would finally get a first look at scenes from the sequel that has been in the works in one form or another for nearly a decade. No go friends. Instead we once again get the Channel 4 News Team – lead anchorman Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), field reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), sports anchor Champ Kind (David Koechner), and weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carrell) – giving direct-to-camera quips, showing us that the team chemistry is still there despite having been mothballed since Bush II ran for reelection [...]

Must Watch: J.J. Abrams Takes Fan Suggestions For ‘Star Wars Episode 7′

Recently we saw a very funny video of Harrison Ford on Jimmy Kimmel Live in which he answered a few Star Wars related questions while there to promote 42. Now J.J. Abrams has visited the talk show to promote his latest blockbuster, Star Trek Into Darkness.
Of course Kimmel couldn’t have Abrams on the show without bringing up the director’s next gig, Star Wars Episode VII. Abrams couldn’t say much as they’re still in the very early stages of that movie, so Kimmel turned it over to the fans—and perhaps a surprise visitor or two—for some of their suggestions on how to make Episode VII the best one yet. And again, the results are quite hilarious.
Be sure to click on over to the dark side to watch the video now! [...]

Watch This: Iron Man 3/Justin Timberlake Mash-Up ‘Suits That Fly’

Some of my favorite parody music videos come from Wesley Freitas. You may remember his parody of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” “Batman Maybe,” starring Batman and The Dark Knight Rises gang. He followed up “Batman Maybe” with “Lo Pan Style,” a parody of PSY’s “Gangnam Style” with Lo Pan from Big Trouble in Little China.
Now, Freitas has released a parody of Justin Timberlake’s “Suit and Tie” called “Suits That Fly,” starring Freitas as billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark. Check it out here below! [...]
