Watch This: Iron Man 3/Justin Timberlake Mash-Up ‘Suits That Fly’

FamousMonster   |

Suits That Fly

Some of my favorite parody music videos come from Wesley Freitas. You may remember his parody of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” “Batman Maybe,” starring Batman and The Dark Knight Rises gang. He followed up “Batman Maybe” with “Lo Pan Style,” a parody of PSY’s “Gangnam Style” with Lo Pan from Big Trouble in Little China.

Now, Freitas has released a parody of Justin Timberlake’s “Suit and Tie” called “Suits That Fly,” starring Freitas as billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark. Check it out here below! [...]

A new viral video has been posted to Facebook for director Zack Snyder‘s upcoming Superman movie Man Of Steel. The video is a message from General Zod (Michael Shannon), who issues a threatening ultimatum to the people of Earth, as well as to his fellow Kryptonian, Kal-El aka Superman (Henry Cavill).

Doom Deliveries: ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ Unlock The Genius Kit

Empress Eve   |

Da Vinci's Demons

A package recently arrived which contained within a wooden box with a message on top to UNLOCK THE GENIUS with the date 4-12-13. What could this be? Why, it must be a Doom Delivery!

Upon opening the box, I found a note inside from the good people at STARZ regarding their new show, Da Vinci’s Demons, which airs tonight at 10pm ET/PT. The eight-part original series is an historical fantasy which tells the untold tale of a young Leonardo da Vinci and reveals his “demons.” It turns out that the contents of the box are actually meant to help me tap into my inner genius! Woo! The kit contained a journal – so I can put my own ingenious thoughts to paper – and a Da Vinci’s Demons t-shirt that reads “ARROGANT, VISIONARY, BASTARD” on the front, with the back displaying the show’s logo.

You can check out a photo of the box and its contents here below, as well as watch a few teaser videos for the series [...]

Watch Now: Creepy Girl From ‘The Ring’ Throws Out First Pitch At Baseball Game

The Movie God   |

Samara in The Ring

We you aware that they were still making movies about that little creepy chick from The Ring, which was a remake of the Japanese horror flick Ringu? Neither did we!

As it turns out, a new movie about everyone’s favorite adorable little well-dweller, named Sadako in Japan (Samara here in the States), was released in May of 2012 titled Sadako 3D. Whether the movie is good or bad is of no consequence, but what is worth a peek is some of the promotions that were run to market the movie.

One of the promotions was for Sadako to come out before a baseball game and throw out the first pitch, which is…well, it’s something to see. Marketing a horror movie using comical techniques is a bit unorthodox, but hey, why not?

Continue below now to see the first pitch, as well as a trailer for the movie. [...]

Doom Deliveries: ‘Stoker’ Skeleton Key Necklace & Sharpened Pencils

Empress Eve   |

Stoker film banner

In early February, a small white box with a yellow ribbon arrived at Geeks of Doom headquarters. Inside was a skeleton key necklace wrapped in yellow tissue paper tied up with a thin black ribbon. There was nothing else with it; no message inside and the sender’s address was unfamiliar with no company name mentioned. Having received mysterious objects like this in the past (see our other Doom Deliveries), I figured it must be a viral campaign for an upcoming film or TV show. We tried searching for clues, but there were none to be found.

Earlier this week, another small white box with a yellow ribbon arrived, this time with sharpened pencils in a black case. We figured it had to do with that first mysterious package, but again, we wondered what it could be related to … until we took the pencils out and noticed a photo of a woman pasted into the bottom. I recognized the woman right away – it was Alice In Wonderland actress Mia Wasikowska, but it took me a while to recall that the image was from the poster for the film Stoker, directed by Chan-wook Park.

You can check out photos here below of the two packages that arrived [...]

Watch Now: Creepy ‘The Last Exorcism Part 2′ Viral Marketing Prank

The Movie God   |

The Last Exorcism Part II Header Image

Back in 2010 we saw the then upcoming horror movie The Last Exorcism pull some crafty viral marketing techniques off by taking advantage of the users of Chatroulette.

Now The Last Exorcism: Part II is on the way, and again, some viral marketing is being put to good use. This time around their victims are the patrons of a beauty salon who will see things they’re not expecting to see.

You can check out the prank video below, but be warned, people tend to say naughty things when having the crap scared out of them, and in this particular case those things are not censored. A NSFW warning is in effect! [...]

Watch Now: PSY Meets Up With Hugh Jackman For Some Wolverine “Gangnam Style”

The Movie God   |

Hugh Jackman and PSY Wolverine "Gangnam Style" Image

For those of you who are unaware, “Gangnam Style” is a song from Korean pop star PSY that has taken the internet by storm. The viral video is pretty difficult to describe, so if you still haven’t seen it just bring up YouTube and look for the one with an absurd amount of views.

Because of how popular the song and its video have become, PSY has become a star, and has been making appearances all over the place. Recently he was able to even visit the set of the upcoming sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, titled The Wolverine, where he met up with star Hugh Jackman. [...]

Watch Now: The Space Ship Bridge Simulator ‘Star Trek’ Fans Will Need To Play

The Movie God   |

Artemis Bridge Simulator Image

Star Trek fanatics go to great lengths to eat, sleep, and breathe the world their favorite sci-fi characters exist in. But while they can dress up and role play and so on, one thing that proves quite difficult to experience is working on the bridge of a space ship just like (insert favorite Trek captain here) and their crew have done over the years.

Now that dream is finally attainable…to some level. A new space ship bridge simulator titled Artemis has been created and is now available for purchase. It’s not a simple “insert disc and play” game, however. This is a “multiplayer, multi-computer networked game” that will require you, your closest Trekkie friends, and multiple computers to play.

Continue reading for more details and to see a funny video of a team trying their hand at running a ship. [...]

One man’s dabbling in filmmaking is another man’s treasure. We live in such a privileged age, where we can exchange information almost as quickly as we can create ideas in our head. Could you imagine a world without YouTube? It is hard to believe that nearly a decade ago that this was far from reality. Luckily for us, we can surf the web for funny videos, everything from piano-playing cats to giggling babies. Many can agree on one common search as entirely entertaining: the ever-popular Disney spoof or parody. Whether the creators are teenagers or professionals, almost everyone offers an ounce of creativity in poking fun at the fantastic world of the Mouse.

In this edition of Disney In Depth, a new recurring feature on the column, check out some of the latest and funniest Disney-themed web videos. [...]

Unlock Michael Fassbender’s Emotions In The New Viral Video For ‘Prometheus’

eelyajekiM   |

Emotions of David-8

Oh how excited I would be if Fox generously put a David-8 android on my doorstep. Earlier today we posted an article about the latest product from Weyland Industries, which is actually one of the key elements in the Prometheus viral marketing campaign. The video detailed all the aspects of what the David-8 was programmed and designed for, and now a new video has surfaced detailing the emotions of the android (to be played by Michael Fassbender).

Hit the jump if you want to know more details about the fascination robot.

As stated in the earlier video, Weyland Industries’ David-8 lack the ability to express any human emotion and are programmed to perform the tasks that humans deem questionable and unethical. But a new video has the ability to unlock those emotions that were otherwise considered unlockable. In the gallery here below are four of my favorite emotions [...]

New ‘Prometheus’ Viral Video Introduces Us To Michael Fassbender’s David 8

Prometheus Viral Video Introduces Us To David 8

While I was sitting in the theater watching Cabin In The Woods this weekend I was galvanized in my belief that knowing as little as possible about the actual events of a film before you see it makes for a much more enjoyable and organic entertainment experience. Trailers ruin movies for people every goddamn day. Before you even purchase your ticket, the chance that you’ve likely already seen every key scene, explosion, death, punchline, and catch-phrase is pretty high.

But this new viral video for Prometheusthis is how you promote a film without giving away the freakin’ beginning, ending, and everything in between.

Watch the video here after the jump [...]
