It’s beginning to look like the end of the Skywalker saga as Disney and Lucasfilm begin to launch new Star Wars trilogies, led by The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, and franchise films from Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Not to mention the spinoffs that step away from the galaxy’s most dysfunctional family. But before it can come to an end – if it truly is the end – we have to get to the untitled Star Wars: Episode IX. J.J. Abrams returns to direct the film, taking the place of Colin Trevorrow. Abrams recently spoke a little bit about the status of the film, and said the plan was to begin shooting this summer. More on the story below.

| Watch A Trailer For Animated Feature ‘Big Fish & Begonia’
An official trailer was released recently for a Chinese animated feature titled Big Fish & Begonia, which will be distributed theatrically here in the States by Shout! Factory’s Shout! Studios along with Funimation Films. The movie is a fantasy adventure following a girl named Chun, who’s part of a mystical race who control the tides and seasons. To explore the human world she transforms into a dolphin, but it only leads to her and others being put in danger. | ‘Black Panther’ Fans Have Been Contacting Wauconda, IL Mayor’s Office To Ask About Vibranium, More |

You could file this under too funny to be true, if it wasn’t very much true. As much as we would like Black Panther‘s Wakanda to be a real nation, it isn’t. But the name does share its pronunciation with the real-life Wauconda, Illinois, which, as of now, is a bit unfortunate. That’s because some fans have decided to contact the town mayor’s office asking about things like the fictional metal vibranium. This may be hilarious for us on the outside, but it is creating a bit of trouble for those who live in Wauconda. More on the story below.
