Below you’ll find the solicitations information and cover artwork for all of Dynamite comic book titles that were released on December 30, 2015. I’m really enjoying the Vampirella storyline with Aliens, or is it the Aliens storyline with Vampirella. Whichever, it’s been fun. I also got my first taste of Warren Ellis writing James Bond. Well done, sir. Well done, indeed.

How exciting would it be to travel to another planet that holds remarkable similarities to our own? But what if you had to take a three-year trip just to get there? Of course, you are in a suspended animation during the journey but still…three years? That gives even the most curious folk pause. Especially when you consider the fact that staying on this new world for too long is deadly. But corporate greed makes the world(s) go ’round, so people still find themselves motivated to go. But for some people it’s not about the money. Deep Gravity gives us a bit of it all in the telling of this tale.

Magnus: Robot Fighter #8 is a pretty important issue. Now, I do have a confession to make: I haven’t been following the title for a few months, so I was skeptical as to the level of enjoyment that I would get out of this issue. Would I be able to jump right back into the title and not be lost? Would I still care? The answer to both those questions, is a great big YES!

I’ve been waiting YEARS for Big Trouble in Little China #1, and the wait is finally over!!! Can this comic possibly live up to years and years of anticipation? Let’s take a look..

I’ve never read an Eric Powell comic, but if the rest of them are half as entertaining as this book is, I’m going to start. From a story by him and John Carpenter (director of the 1986 film), Powell brings back every man’s favorite every man, Jack Burton (played by Kurt Russell in the film). The book takes place about 5 minutes after the movie ends, and Powell shows us that the movie wasn’t really a special event for Jack Burton, it was just another day in his life.

In my opinion, Magnus Robot Fighter #2 wasn’t as awesome as the first issue, making it just plain awesome instead of SUPER awesome.

Writer Fred Van Lente uses this issue mostly for world building purposes. Previously, we met Will Magnus, got to know him a little bit, and then he was whisked away to a whole different world where his job was to fight robots. In this issue, we find out more about that world, how it works, what the rules are, and why Magnus is deemed a pretty big threat by this society. In keeping with the spirit of the first issue, Van Lente includes TONS of action and some great bits of story, all the while slipping in bits and pieces of how this world functions, what the class sects are, and some general basic knowledge of what this world is about. All of these things, woven into a really smooth flowing story.
