Planet Hulk

Things are progressing pretty nicely for Taika Waititi and Thor: Ragnarok. The film recently added Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Skurge aka The Executioner. They’re joined on the cast by Cate Blanchett, who plays Hela the Asgardian Goddess of Death, and Tessa Thompson who will play Valkyrie and Thor’s love interest.

Now there are a couple of new rumors surrounding the film. Mark Ruffalo has already said that the film will be a buddy movie that sees the two heroes venturing out on a cosmic journey. How those two get into this precarious situation still isn’t clear. But one rumor is that Thor is searching for a yet to be identified MacGuffin only to get banished to a gladiator-like world where he meets Hulk, who is apparently the reigning champion.

Now there is a new rumor about the new characters that will appear in the final film of the Thor trilogy. More on the story below.

Hulk vs Thor

Remember how there was a rumor that said that Hulk would be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and that the plot of the film would be based on the “Planet Hulk” story arc? Well, James Gunn repeatedly denied those rumors, which were pretty much debunked when Mark Ruffalo signed on to join Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Ragnarok, the final film of the titular trilogy. In what has been described as a buddy film which would feature the two Avengers who go on a cosmic journey, there were questions on how Hulk would actually meet up with the god of thunder considering that he left the Avengers after the events of Age of Ultron.

It appears that there may be an answer to that question, which leads us back to how Marvel would incorporate a “Planet Hulk” story arc into the MCU. We have to stress that the following should be considered a rumor, and we are going to treat it as such until we get something substantial from a confirmed source.

Again, if you are interested in spoilers, then feel free to check out more about this rumor below.

Hulk and Thor in The Avengers

The Hulk will finally make an appearance outside of The Avengers films in Thor: Ragnarok. The film is said to see Hulk and Thor set out on a cosmic journey that does not take place on Earth or Asgard. It is rumored that the film could introduce the “Planet Hulk” storyline and the Valkyries, but that has yet to be confirmed.

Mark Ruffalo, who recently finalized his deal to appear in the last film of the Thor trilogy, expressed his interest in seeing the relationship between Bruce Banner and Hulk. Now while on his Spotlight press tour, the actor is talking a little bit more about Thor: Ragnarok. According to him, it will be a buddy film with fights in it. Sounds like the makings of another Marvel buddy cop film except now its with demi-gods and monsters. More on the story below.

Banner vs Hulk

It was recently confirmed that Mark Ruffalo would be joining the cast of Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok. This would be the first time that the actor has appeared as the Hulk outside the two Avengers films that have been released. However, the size of this role is still unknown, though it is rumored that the Hulk and Thor will be on a cosmic journey that doesn’t take place on Earth or Asgard. There is also a rumor that the third film in the Thor trilogy could introduce the Valkyries, and that it may use elements from the “Planet Hulk” story arc.

Much of the story elements have yet to be confirmed, but the cast is coming together, and now Ruffalo is talking a little bit about what he would like to see in Thor: Ragnarok. More on the story below.

Marvel Hulk

After the events of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Hulk went missing. Given that the Bruce Banner hasn’t been seen much outside of the Avengers films, it was likely that the next time we would see him was going to be in Avengers: Infinity War Part I and II in 2018 and 2019. That’s four long years before we would ever see the green muscle-bound hero ever again. There were rumors that he may have sent himself off into space where he would meet up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, but director James Gunn made it abundantly clear that Hulk wasn’t going to be in the Guardians sequel. In fact, Gunn had to do it twice. Despite a couple ofplayful teases on social media, Mark Ruffalo said he wasn’t sure if the Hulk would be back soon.

Then an interesting rumor popped up this week saying that Hulk could star alongside Thor in Thor: Ragnarok. It sounded like just another rumor that would be debunked, given how many films he was attached to and confirmed not to be in, but it looks like the rumors are true. There is a new report that says Ruffalo is in the midst of signing a deal to appear alongside Chris Hemsworth in the final film of the Thor trilogy. More on the story below.
