Jar Jar Binks "Will It Blend?"

There’s a pretty good chance that you’ve seen at least one of the Blendtec YouTube channel’s “Will It Blend?” videos, in which various items are thrown in a blender to see if the machine can handle it or not. In almost a decade many things have met their end in the blender, from iPhones, tablets, and other gadgets, to sports equipment, marbles, video games, various foods both in and out of their packaging, and so much more. To save you some time if you’ve never seen the videos, yes, they almost always blend.

In celebration of The Force Awakens finally being released next month, the newest video gives none other than infamous Star Wars character Jar Jar Binks a chance to take on the blender. Not to give away the result or anything, but it’s a video that is sure to bring a smile to fans’ faces.

You can watch the video below.

Michael Bay Jar Jar Binks

Just when you thought we had reached a calm in the midst of what seemed to be daily rumors and announcements in regards to the new Star Wars movies, a new rumor has started making the rounds in the industry. Word out of Hollywood is that director Michael Bay has been tapped to direct a standalone film set in the Star Wars universe. The film will chronicle the further adventures of fan favorite Jar Jar Binks and once and for all prove that he is the central character of the Star Wars mythos.

The People vs. George Lucas is a quasi-documentary film which uses a courtroom debate approach to explore the issues of filmmaking and fanaticism pertaining to the Star Wars franchise, and its creator, George Lucas.

The film combines filmmaker and celebrity interviews with fan-created content and fictional dramatizations to present an all-encompassing look at the indelible mark Lucas has left on pop culture and the film industry.

Interviewees include author Neil Gaiman, writer/director Kevin Rubio (Troops), actor David Prowse (Darth Vader), and Star Wars producer Gary Kurtz. Lucas himself appears frequently in archival footage, but is never interviewed directly by filmmaker Alexandre O. Philippe.

The People vs. George Lucas discusses the extent to which the Star Wars franchise is an incomplete artistic creation of Lucas (and subject to his evolving vision) versus a cultural phenomenon that belongs to the general public.
