Right now, Fringe: The Complete Series on Blu-ray for $55.99 (that’s 67% down from the list price of $169.99) over at Amazon.

This 20-disc collection includes all 109 episodes from the five seasons of the FOX scifi series created by created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci, which starred Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Lance Reddick, Jasika Nicole, Blair Brown, and Leonard Nimoy. The Blu-ray box set also contains bonus content like behind-the-scenes video, making-of featurettes, deleted scenes, production diaries, commentary, a digital comic book excerpt, gag reel, and more, including Blu-ray exclusives.

Fans of the FOX series Sleepy Hollow are getting an extra special Halloween treat this year — tomorrow, Tuesday, October 28, 2014, there will be a “Sleepy Hollow-EEN” pop-up event at a pumpkin patch in New York City, where stars of the show will be on hand.

Fans will have photo opportunities with stars Tom Mison, John Noble, and the Headless Horseman himself at the themed pumpkin patch at the NYC Green Market at E. 10th Street and 2nd Ave. at 2:30pm.

Most actors would be pretty excited to jump into a franchise as massive as the Star Wars franchise is, so it’s not a big deal to find out an actor or two would be interested in being cast by J.J. Abrams in Star Wars Episode VII or future installments.

That said, it’s a slow news day so far, so here’s something to ponder!

First and foremost, I’m not a huge Superman fan. I prefer my heroes a bit more…mortal, you know? That said, I am sometimes forced to reassess a character based on who is writing the storyline, script, what have you. Animated superhero shows have a certain appeal to me, regardless of the main characters. Watching the Super Friends on Saturday morning is probably one of my favorite childhood memories and I find any excuse to try to relive that excitement. And the chance to watch and discuss Superman Unbound was way too cool to pass up. Now on to the review…

DC Entertainment does love to change up the voice actors quite a bit, don’t they? This incarnation of the Man of Steel is voiced by none other than White Collar star Matt Bomer. This became a very distracting issue for me, just to let you know. I kept envisioning Big Blue as an art thief in New York and not the Kryptonian hero of Metropolis. But maybe that’s just me.

This year’s San Diego Comic-Con convention is still a couple of weeks off, but already geeks who will be in attendance have something special to look forward to.

For the first time ever, Firefly will be making its way to Comic-Con 2012.

Don’t get too excited, however—it’s not to announce the show’s return or anything along those lines. The panel is to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the fan-favorite sci-fi western, which was canceled far too soon an immensely fast-moving decade ago. It will be held on Friday, July 13 at 12:30 p.m. in Ballroom 20.
