Star Trek - Night of the Living Trekkies

If you’re looking for the perfect geeky boy-meets-girl story to read for Valentine’s Day, look no further than Night Of The Living Trekkies by Kevin David Anderson and Sam Stall, where a Star Trek knowledgeable bellhop and a Slave Leia booth babe meet up at a Star Trek convention that’s about to be invaded by zombies!

Grab it for your Kindle so you can read it immediately. Some Kindle devices have the text-to-speech feature, which is enabled for this book, so you can turn that on and you and your sweetheart can listen to the robot read you the book! Or, if you’re real fancy, curl up with your soulmate and a trusty phaser and listen to the Audio Book together. Geek love, ain’t it grand?

For more on my thoughts on the book, check out the review I did for Night Of The Living Trekkies when it was first released back in 2010.

Leprekhhhaaaaaan!!!

Kevin David Anderson, author of Night Of The Living Trekkies, sent us a fun greeting for St. Patrick’s Day which mashes up the evil Leprechaun from the Leprechaun horror movies, with Star Trek‘s beloved Captain James T. Kirk in “Leprekhhhaaaaaan!!!”

If you don’t get this reference, I implore you to immediately watch one of the greatest movies ever, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Happy St. Patty’s Day, everyone!

Star Trek meets Scooby Doo

When Kevin David Anderson, author of Night Of The Living Trekkies wants to kickstart his creative juices, he turns to some photoshop fun. He sent over his latest ‘shop job to me today called Starfleet Scooby, which shows the Scooby-Doo gang as Star Trek Starfleet officers.

Here’s Anderson’s caption: “”¦and the Romulans would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for those meddling Starfleet kids”¦”

Should we be concerned that Velma’s in red?

Night of the Living Trekkies

Earlier this month, Quirk Books released their latest mash-up novel Night Of The Living Trekkies, written by Kevin David Anderson and Sam Stall.

It’s a real fun book — yes, fun! — about a bunch of Star Trek convention attendees who find themselves faced with hordes of the undead! [Check out my full review of the book for my thoughts.]

Quirk has just released a trailer for Night Of The Living Trekkies, which you can watch here below.

I know, you’re probably not accustomed to watching trailers for books, but this one is pretty hilarious. Matter of fact, I’m just about ready to see this movie made!
