Sweets is a five-issue miniseries written and drawn by Kody Chamberlain. The miniseries is a crime tale set in New Orleans just days before Hurricane Katrina makes landfall. A serial killer is on the loose and has piled up a massive amount of victims in a killing spree around New Orleans. Detective Curt Delatte has already had a bad few weeks. Sweets is a definite must-read if you’re into crime stories like Criminal and Scalped. The biggest difference between those books and Sweets, is that Chamberlain brings a rare blend of storytelling to the readers. Sweets reads like a crime film, in which the reader is glued to the book and they never want it to end.

Many in the comic book community have donated their time, skills, and work, including an appearance as a zombie in The Walking Dead.
