‘L.A. Noire’ Re-Release Coming To Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, VR
The Movie God   |

L.A. Noire Header Image

It’s been announced that publisher Rockstar Games will be re-releasing developer Team Bondi’s detective game L.A. Noire on multiple platforms. The game used special MotionScan technology which scanned actors faces with 32 cameras, giving the characters lifelike emotions, reactions, and mouth synchronization. This was essential to the interrogations of various suspects and witnesses working.

It was originally released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2011, with a Microsoft Windows version arriving later that same year. Now the game is being re-released on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. And on top of that, a virtual reality version of the game has been announced as well.

The Movie God   |

Modern Warfare Cocktail

Video games? Booze?! Go on, I’m listening…I’m listening.

2011 saw some incredible video games released (mostly in that small chunk of fall when bunches of them were raining down on us), but what can make a great video game even better? Why, an adult beverage concocted in the name of these very same games, of course.

The Guardian’s Games Blog reached out to James Dance, owner of the video game bar called Loading and master of the mixological arts, to create some cocktails for six of 2011’s top video game titles: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, L.A. Noire, Portal 2, and Batman: Arkham City.

Continue on below to check out the recipes for each of these wild creations, as well as images of what they should look like!

Additional features include: five LAPD based crime desks to work, the ability to analyze the case as well as suspects for clues, an accurate block-by-block recreation of eight sq miles of 1947 Los Angeles, multiple difficulty settings and more.

Must Watch: Live–Action ‘L.A. Noire’ Shows Cole Phelps May Not Be The Best Detective
The Movie God   |

An amusing new video has hit Funny or Die for those of you who played the recent Rockstar Games and Team Bondi release, L.A. Noire (Read: Game Review: L.A. Noire).

The video shows us what the popular game—which takes place in 1940s Los Angeles as a WWII vet named Cole Phelps works his way up the LAPD ranks by showing off his keen eye for details and his ability to solve tough cases—might look like if it existed in real life.

The video exaggerates some of the things you find yourself doing often in the game, which is what makes it so humorous. Though I must question the jab about running over pedestrians at the end of the video—anyone who’s played knows that every person in ’40s L.A. was a ninja, and almost always finds a way to inexplicably avoid death by vehicle.

You can see the live-action L.A. Noire video by heading below now!
