Ready Player One

In the two previously released Ready Player One trailers, you may have noticed several Easter eggs giving nods to films, animes, games, and so much more. And since Steven Spielberg is directing this adaptation of Ernest Cline‘s novel, it is safe to say that the film will have plenty of Easter Eggs from Spielberg films. But this adaptation would not be possible without the book, which draws much of its inspiration from Spielberg films.

Now Warner Bros. has released a brand new featurette that honors Spielberg’s works and acknowledges that the book and its film adaptation would not be at all possible without him. Check it out below.

Ready Player One

Warner Bros. has released the latest trailer for Steven Spielberg‘s adaptation of Ready Player One, Ernest Cline’s novel about a world where humans escape to the virtual world called The Oasis, where all their dreams can be a reality. The first trailer only scratched the surface of the film’s setting and what awaits players when they enter The Oasis. But it showed that it was chock full of pop culture artifacts and icons like The Iron Giant and the DeLorean from Back To The Future.

Now this newest trailer provides a bit more context and the plot. At stake, half a trillion dollars plus full control of the Oasis to the player who can find the creator’s Easter Egg that has been hidden in this vast land. So as you can imagine, players and corporate tycoons will literally jump at the chance to find that Easter egg, and kill anyone who gets in their way. Check out the latest trailer for the film below.

Ready Player One

You can always expect a grand introduction when it comes to the WB panel at SDCC, and this year was no different as the curtains pulled back around the massive stage to reveal the latest films that the studio is currently working on. The studio proudly displayed a sizzle reel of all their films ranging from Lord of the Rings to Gravity to the DCEU.

With the crowd already amped up after waiting 20 plus hours to get in, WB’s panel started off with Steven Spielberg‘s new movie Ready Player One, a film we haven’t seen much of. That changed today with the release of a new trailer. Check it out below.

Many of my favorite shows have sputtered to the finish making their final episodes something of a mercy kill. But not Bates Motel. Sometimes TV series hit the climax early and the final season just doesn’t have that special magic it once had. Not Bates Motel. No, Bates Motel is that rare exception: a series that like a fine wine got better with age. That makes tonight’s series finale even more upsetting. Over its five seasons the creators of the show somehow did something unthinkable: they took an untouchable classic (Psycho), by one of the legendary filmmakers of all time, and made it new, fresh, and dare I say”¦ at times, better. At the forefront of the success are the duo of Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore as Norma and Norman Bates. Farmiga was perfectly overbearing and overprotective as “Mother”; neurotic to a fault and yet through it all, a loving and devoted matriarch. Highmore is a revelation. This season he has co-written episodes, directed, and delivered an unnerving and consistently moving performance, one that deserves to be recognized with an Emmy nomination. He stepped into perhaps the most iconic role in horror history and created a new and altogether different Norman than Anthony Perkins did for Alfred Hitchcock back in 1960. Tonight, Norma and Norman have a final ride as the Bates Motel shuts down for good.
