Another year has come to an end. 2015 was full of life in so many vivid ways: creatively, intensely, and tragically, but also wonderfully presenting its own set of challenges and obstacles to overcome in the new year. And as a year also brings, we also lost many shining figures in the entertainment world among other fields.

Here’s a rundown of some of those figures who touched our lives and will continue to touch our lives always as we remember some of the key people in Television and Film, in front of the camera and behind the scenes, people who are legends, pioneers, luminaries, inspirations, and above all, timeless.

Christopher Lee

This is not an obituary or a career retrospective. This is simply one fan discussing his memories of an amazing man and tremendous actor — Sir Christopher Lee, who passed away earlier this week. There’s a popular meme making the rounds on Facebook detailing the accolades of Christopher Lee, ending with the line, “Now let’s see Chuck Norris top that.” I won’t discuss Lee’s absolutely badass life in great detail, but suffice to say he served in the military every year of WWII, was a highly ranked British officer, hunted Nazi war criminals, and was knighted for his contributions to the arts. This is about Christopher Lee the performer, a man born 93 years ago who had 281 IMDb credited roles and was probably the greatest screen villain in history.

Led by a cast of the finest actors including Sir Christopher Lee it left other studios in its bloodied wake before retreating to its coffin. The Hammer name was once again brought to life in last year’s Let Me In and now with latest horror thriller, The Resident.
