Titans

The very first non-set image from Louis Leterrier‘s Clash of the Titans reboot has been discovered. No one seems to know where the image came from, but /Film has gotten their hands on the picture which shows exploding Aussie star Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation, Avatar) as Perseus doing battle with some wretched creature. It’s not a whole lot to go on, but if I had to make a snap-judgment on it, it’s hard to deny that this tells me that they really have the right look and tone going for them. We can only hope that it’s like this throughout the production and that we’re in for some kick-ass mythological action on March 26, 2010 when the movie is released.

In Clash of the Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

Along with Worthington, the movie stars Liam Neeson (Taken, Schindler’s List) as God of Thunder, Zeus; Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter, In Bruges) as God of the Underworld, Hades; Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale, King Arthur) as Draco; Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia, Quantum of Solace) as Io; and Alexa Davalos (Defiance, The Mist) as Andromeda.

  3. @Virgil Reality
The site we source said they did not know where the scan came from. Nowhere did it say July issue of Empire, or else that would have been included.
