Geeks of Doom's Exclusive Coverage of SDCC 2009There are any number of things to pick up at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, but the ones everyone looks for are the SDCC Exclusives.

So, here is a list of the top five things that will be surfacing on eBay in the next few hours.

1. AFX Transformers Battle Damage Jetfire Bust

One of the coolest characters from Transformers 2 returns in his original form from the cartoon. Not only is this a really cool looking bust, but it also comes with a variant head to give it it’s original Macross/Robotech look. This is too cool for words, but I guess only if you’re like me and are both a Transformers and Robotech fan.

2. Gentle Giant Studios Darth Vader Helmet – Pink Edition

For that special lady in your life who’s as big of a Star Wars nerd as you are, pick up this unique paint job of one of film’s greatest villains. Not only can you pick up the weirdest looking item at the Con, you can feel better about your SDCC trip, since $6.00 of every purchase (up to $10,000) will go towards funding breast cancer research.

3. Graphitti Designs DC Direct Blackest Night Action Figures

Now you can live out your dream of recreating this summer’s hottest comic event, with 5 fully articulate Hal Jordan figures, each in a different Lantern Corp suit. Choose from Green, Red, Orange, Blue, or Yellow, or collect all five and have them battle it out for supremacy. If the Highlander said it, it must be true: There can be only one.

4. Hasbro 25th Anniversary Soundwave Special Edition

This is another summer of Transformers, so we get the coolest of all the original Transformers, complete as Soundwave was originally released all those years ago. Not only do you get the original awesomeness that is Soundwave himself, you also get his four cassette friends: Buzzsaw, Laserbeak, Ratbat, and Ravage. Again, as a child on the 80’s this is the very definition of something being the bee’s knees.

5. Shocker Toys Dethklok 5 figure set

The greatest metal band in the history of anything (at least if you’ve watched Metalocalypse on Cartoon Network) now get their own action figures. That’s right, the whole band is here, and you can line them all up and rock out to the most brutal band ever. With a comic coming out, a new album, and a new video game coming to XBox live and Playstation Network, we must all live in the shadow of Dethklok.

So there you, go the top five coolest exclusive items (at least in my opinion) coming to SDCC this year. Happy hunting!

  1. I’d have to add the SDCC exclusive 1st and 2nd Doctor figures by Character Options to that list.

I don’t mind variants or special pack-ins, but it irks me to see figures that won’t be see general release. A pink Vader helmet is one thing, but why can’t I pick up Soundwave from Toys R’ Us?
