If anything, I think it’s pretty ballsy that they’re doing what they’re doing with what we thought were to be main characters. I don’t have a particular attachment to Bean but I really liked Stark and the former King for that matter.
I’m actually glad I haven’t read the books because I’m getting to be surprised and awed by the show as it goes on.

Seriously? People STOPPED watching after Ned lost his head? That’s lunacy! I mean, hey, it broke my heart, too. But I feel now more than ever that it’s important to keep watching because if they can do that to my emotions before the end of the first season, I’m even more intrigued to see what the next season brings.

I didn’t stop watching The Simpsons after Maude Flanders was killed, so I won’t let a little thing like Ned losing his head stop me from enjoying  Game of Thrones.

My wife was P Oed that Ned was killed off.  She was done with the series.  Friday rolls around and she could not wait for Sunday.  I told her if Ned’s death made you mad…remember, “Winter is coming”.

So those people who want to stop watching because good characters die… go ahead.  Miss out on the fantastic drama, the plot twists, and the bloodshed… because you obviously can’t handle the rest of this series.

Ned Stark was but one man, one character in one of the best dramas I have ever seen. You would have to be mad, yes Stark raving mad to not want to see the fate of those who brought about the demise of such a great character. I have always thought that drama without the true threat of loss of life is a pretty shallow drama. George R.R. Martin gives this story teeth, he gives it depth and death. After all what is life without death… boring.

I have enjoyed watching this season so much that I’ve decided to hold off on reading the second book until after the next season airs.  I think I would have enjoyed it less if I knew what was coming which is rare for me when it comes to movies/TV made from books.

I stopped watching after the first ep. Was more of a soft core porn than anything else. Without the porn, it’s just boring.

Without the softcore porn stuff, I just found it boring. Can’t really see this being a geek show, to be honest.
