Amazon is currently selling the Star Trek 2-Disc DVD for only $7.85 (that’s 78% off the list price of $34.98).
This 2-disc DVD edition contains the 2009 J.J. Abrams-directed feature film on DVD, as well as a digital copy. It also includes a bunch of bonus features, like feature-length director commentary, deleted scenes, gag reel, and other featurettes (see full listing below).
Note – there’s no indication as to when this sale ends, so grab it now if you want it. And let me stress, this edition is currently less than the single-DVD version AND it’s insanely discounted.
Allow me to do some more stressing: If you’ve been reading Geeks of Doom for the last few years, then you already know that I’m obsessed with all things Trek and that the rebooted Star Trek was my favorite movie of 2009 and that leading up to its release, I covered the crap out of it. I obviously already own this movie and when it was first released to home video, I watched it every night on Blu-ray and also every day on my iPod while commuting. So, when I see that a 2-disc edition of Star Trek is on sale for under 8 bucks, I have to shout it from the rooftops. My first instinct is to buy it for myself immediately, then of course, I realize I already own it in several formats. My point is, BUY THIS NOW.
