I work at Starbucks. Yes. You know those baristas who dish out lattes at crazy quick speed? That’s this guy. Right here.
Apparently, actor Tom Hardy, in a recent interview, compared working at this lovely establishment to working on the set of his upcoming film, The Dark Knight Rises. Yeah, because being Bane is really similar to that of being a slightly pudgy, relatively tall twenty-something with a penchant for adding one too many shots into a person’s iced skinny vanilla latte.
Joking aside, this is an absolute non-story. He stated this claim at Comic-Con in San Diego in July, only to say that he was just using their name as a place holder for any major company.
“I’m really sorry if anyone misunderstood what I said about comparing working for a huge franchise to being like working for Starbucks. I didn’t mean it like that. I mean, it could have been British Airways, it could have been Virgin, it could have been Nike, it could have been any huge company,” Hardy said earnestly.
Director Christopher Nolan seems like a very rigid filmmaker, so that’s not really any shock. Anyways, it’s nice to finally have a reason to write about how awesome Starbucks is. Yeah, I guess.
“Anyways, it’s nice to finally have a reason to write about how awesome Starbucks is.”
When did paying two dollars extra for burnt beans become awesome? No offense, but you could replace Starbucks in that sentence with any big company.
“Anyways, its nice to finally have a reason to write about how awesome McDonalds is”
or
“Anyways, it’s nice to finally have a reason to write about how awesome Microsoft is…”
