With The Lion King proving that the market very much wants to see their childhood favorites hit the big screen once again, and in 3D no less, Disney has decided to finally give us the transfer we’ve all be wanting: Beauty And The Beast.

Yahoo! has the first poster (see it here below in full) for the upcoming theatrical re-release in 3D, and while in itself isn’t much to look at, knowing that the film will be hitting theaters this January is more than enough to get one excited.

Beauty has always been, and will always be, one of this writer’s all time favorite animated films, and while I may not have seen the Lion King conversion, this is one I’ll be seeing opening day. I think the film itself is really well suited for the upgrade, as are most of Disney’s releases from that generation, so hopefully this one will do well enough to bring other ones back out from the vault, and into theaters.

Beauty And The Beast 3D will be in theaters starting January 13, 2012.
