I did enjoy the remake of True Grit, however if Mr.Cruise is playing the Yul Brynner or Steve McQueen role this film will Tank faster than Battlefield Earth. Maybe he could do the Robert Vaughn part but there is nothing he can do to make this project successful other than bowing out completely.

I honestly don’t know how Tom Cruise stays employeed.  He’s bascially a hugely over the hill twink, with no discernable acting ability at all.  Had he been around in 1960, he’d maybe have been qualified to serve lunch to the real actors.  Mabe James Coburn could have used him for knife throwing practice.

Magnificent Seven remake? With the right director, sure! Bring it on. But I don’t think Tom Cruise should be anywhere near it.
