Sandman

Let me start off by saying – HOLY CRAP!!!! As part of today’s Kindle deals, Amazon has Neil Gaiman‘s The Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes & Nocturnes for only $2.99 – that’s 85% the list price of $19.99!!! This is a 240-page full-color graphic novel for only three bucks!

The volumes begins the series and contains The Sandman #1-8, with all the coloring and enhancements from the Absolute Edition.

This week saw the release of The Sandman: Overture #1, which launches the new Sandman miniseries, so if you want to start back at the beginning before diving into the new book, then now’s your chance and for a low, low price. Actually, this weekend, 110 Sandman comics (including its offshoots like Death and The Sandman Presents…) for the Kindle for only $.99 each in Amazon’s The Sandman Series Sale.

Yes, my mind is blown at this deal. This is one of my favorite comic book series ever and I never get tired of rereading it. And even though I already own these issues in many print variations, I plan to get in on today’s deal so I can have it on my Kindle, too. HIGHLY recommend.

The Sandman Volume 1 Preludes and Nocturnes

In PRELUDES & NOCTURNES, an occultist attempting to capture Death to bargain for eternal life traps her younger brother Dream instead. After his seventy-year imprisonment and eventual escape, Dream, also known as Morpheus, goes on a quest for his lost objects of power. On his arduous journey Morpheus encounters Lucifer, John Constantine, and an all-powerful madman. This book also includes the story “The Sound of Her Wings,” which introduces us to the pragmatic and perky goth girl Death.

Also, be sure to check out this month’s Kindle deals: 100 Kindle Books For $3.99 or Less, which includes The Silver Dream: An InterWorld Novel by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reaves for $2.99; Agatha Christie’s The Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple Mysteries) for $2.99; Kim Harrison’s For a Few Demons More (The Hollows, Book 5) for $1.99; and the Marvel graphic novel Ultimate Comics Wolverine vs Hulk for $1.99.
