If you follow any movie reporters on Twitter, you might have noticed a large amount of exciting tweets praising Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That’s because the film was screened last night to the press, and from what has been said so far, it seems that the praise is unanimous. I’ll be checking out the film tonight with my own eyes, but it seems that I will most likely have the same reaction.
But for those who have seen it, reactions range from “awesome” to “one of the best Marvel movie ever.” So hit the jump to see all the reactions.
Overall reactions are overwhelmingly positive, and while not every movie is perfect, the Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds a way to win audiences over by giving us the signature comic book action and story that will pave the way for future MCU films.
The CAPTAIN AMERICA sequel blew me away. Movie has a fantastic script, amazing action, and great character moments. Just about perfect.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER is right up there as one of the best Marvel movies ever. Epic and full of great surprises for fans.

The best element in #CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier is that it treats female characters with respect. Now bring me a Black Widow movie!

Oh, wow is CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER a perfect film. Wow wow wow.

And we’ll end it all with a flawed positive review of the movie.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is awesome. A tad too long, a tad too plotty, but its action & MCU impact will blow your damn mind.

So awesome, but flawed. I’m sure any fan of the MCU will take it. Everything can’t be perfect.
Seeing that we are eight films into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and in its second phase, following this up looks like a tall order. Even competing studios will have a tough time replicating the MCU formula (looking at you Sony). But whatever happens, it looks like Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be a smash hit.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens in theaters on April 4.
