Valentine's Day Video 20 Love Songs In 20 Styles Ten Second Songs by Anthony Vincent

Musician Anthony Vincent is back with another mash-up entry from his Ten Second Songs endeavor, where he sings 10 seconds of a song in a different style. This time around, the long-haired metal singer has done a Valentine’s Day-inspired video where he covered 20 love songs in 20 different styles.

Vincent starts off the session with 10 seconds of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” in the style of Sheeran’s before moving into a Beatles-esque version of the song. Next up, a Beatles song — “Something” — done as if Bon Jovi was performing it, and so on through music of many styles from Frank Sinatra to Journey to Boyz II Men to Type O Negative.

Check out the video here below.

Once again, Type O Negative makes it into one of the Ten Second Songs projects, which I love, but Vincent really nails the Journey and then 2Pac doing Queen’s “Somebody” to love. Also, I would have been greatly disappointed had Pantera’s “This Love” not made it in, but it’s there and it’s perfect. The singer lists the name of the song, original artist, and artist style for each song, and sets the video up with a split screen so you can see him performing background vocals as well.

Last year, Vincent took Katy Perry‘s hit song “Dark Horse” and performed it in 20 different styles, channeling hard rock and heavy metal acts like Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Nirvana, and Type O Negative, as well as non-metal singers like Frank Sinatra and John Mayer.

Vincent creates these videos to sample the various musical styles he’s able to do, as his company offers a service where if you write a 10-second song, he will sing it in any style imaginable, so it can be used for ads, jingles, and the like.
