Abigail Williams is a black metal band originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but now operating out of Los Angeles. They take their name from one of the initial accusers in the Salem witch trials of 1692, which led to the arrest and imprisonment of more than 150 accused witches. The band’s sound started out as an epic sort of symphonic black metal in the vein of Cradle of Filth or Dimmu Borgir, but over the years they’ve steered more and more toward a traditional Nordic black metal aesthetic.

This week’s edition of Black Metal Friday features the epic track “Beyond The Veil” from Abigail Williams 2012 offering Becoming. Check it out here below.

Candlelight Records is set to release the fourth full-length album by Abigail Williams this October. The Accuser is said to be the band’s darkest work to date. Singer/guitarist/mastermind Ken Sorceron had the following to say about the recording: “It took three years to make this because I’m an indecisive bastard and I didn’t want to make the same record again,” confides Sorceron of the lengthy gap between full-lengths. “It felt unnatural to try and reproduce what I did on [2012’s] Becoming,” he continues, “which, up to that point I felt was our strongest album. So once again we are covering new ground with this release. The songs are the most personal to date with the themes mostly being about living shitty, addictions, sex, loss and failure all through the eyes of a nihilistic occultist shithead.”

The Accuser Track Listing:
1. Path Of Broken Glass
2. The Cold Lines
3. Of The Outer Darkness
4. Will, Wish And Desire
5. Godhead
6. Forever Kingdom Of Dirt
7. Lost Communion
8. Nuummite
